PIN Code and Military Discount

We are traveling with friends to Disney in August. They qualify for a military discount and made reservations for her family and ours at A of A. We wanted POR, but did not have the discount. We later received a PIN that would give us the same discount as military, but at POR. We switched our reservations.

Here's my questions: If free dining comes out we would like to book that. We lose the room discount with the PIN, but it's a better value. However; our friends get military park ticket discounts and would rather stay with that. Since the reservation is already booked under our PIN do you think they will be able to keep? I need to call Disney on this, but the DIS is so much more convenient

We are staying with military discount in May. Moderates get 35% off which I am pretty sure is better than any ro pin out their now. Anyways if they are not going with the 4 day pass offer for $156 each than free dining might be cheaper for them too. Just depends on length of stay etc. My guess is if you change your ressie and they will have to rebook themselves.
