Not "shopping pins," the email came from Disney Shopping that pins are on sale.

Peopel buy pins to trade inthe parks with CM's. Fun , but can be expensive. Pin sales are good because you can buy any pins - doesn't matter if you love them or not since they will be used as 'traders.' If you do a search for pin trading you can dfind out quite a bit of info. You can also try www.allears.net for good info about everything - I'm guessing on pin trading, too.
