Pilots - Anyone fly themselves?

We are 3SQ to KISM which is roughly 777 miles direct.

In the 182 RG we are 6 1/2 hours with 1 stop, flight planning around 140kts.

If SWA doesn't start lowering their prices we might give it a whirl...

We fly from JZI to ISM frequently. It is an easy in and out. ORL class B is no problem, though I usually file IFR anyway. ISM has an ILS so don't worry about getting in. There are several FBOs and the fuel is reasonable if you choose Jet Center. The facility is a bit tired but who cares?

It takes us about 2:15 in a Grumman Cheetah. I'd suggest some sort of weather i.e. Garmin 496 with XM. There are frequently CB in the area, though you should have no problem spotting them
