You know it! :cool1: And we'll be eating sushi and making pineapple bras from discarded lapu lapus and sharing Day 1 food porn with each other! :rotfl2:

Oh, and Jay and I will be showering you with compliments on your fabulous new look!

And I want details when I get there from both of y'all!

Hey stranger! Better late than never ... besides, we all know how long my reviews tend to drag out so no one can ever really be late. I do hope you and your DH make it down for F&W this year ... if you think you're going to make it by the 23rd let me know!

Hiya Heather! Thanks for checking out the ratings! Jay is supposed to work on a special Gollum one for me this weekend ... we'll see if that happens. :rotfl: I sure wish you guys were going to be able to join us ... we'll be thinking of you and all the friendies at our get together!

Hello! Thanks for stopping in and have yourself a wonderful trip! :goodvibes

Hey I subbed. I have read you trip reports before and I really liked them so I look forward to reading about all of your dining delights this time around.

Thanks very much for the kind words - glad you're joining us for one last food hurrah. :goodvibes We want to go out with a bang (and I'm not talking about my colon ...) on this trip since we won't be attending F&W next fall.

I might order my Lapu Lapu sans pineapple bra.
I'm just wondering how late the sushi bar serves, and how long it will take you to get there after your dessert party.

I thought I read somewhere that they closed at 10PM - wishes begins at nine ... but we're really not doing this for the fireworks so much as we are for the joy of dessert gluttony. We will probably leave before the fireworks are over and hop the monorail ahead of the crowds. You want me to call you while we're on our way out?

Ahhhh... 3 weeks til eatin' and drinkin' !!!! Looking forward to your reviews! (and seeing you!... I think we're cancelling Biergarten on the 23rd, and moving it to the Kouzzina spot on the 30th, so we'll be FREE all afternoon to eat and drink ;);) YAY!)

I am late to join in here, but still in time before you start! :lmao:

Can't wait to hear all about it, you have some yummy things on your itinerary and I love your WDW florist ideas. I sent the same "sweet for you" chocolates to a friend and they LOVED it. :goodvibes

Sure. I'll probably be hanging out in the Tambu Lounge before you show up. ;)

Hidely ho, foodarinos!!!

Off to a Ned-diddly-edly start I see. Always look forward to living vicariously through you guys, especially since DW is losing weight and F&W may not be in my future. Count me in!

Looks like 'Party for the Senseless' is off the itinerary. That much of a disaster last year?

We've taken two 7-night Disney cruises ... the last one was in 2005 ... I rememebr the food being good in most instances. The only thing that really knocked our socks off was Palo.

Couldn't agree more. Have only been on short cruises, but Palo is always the highlight. Love that chocolate souffle so much I learned to make it myself. DW surrenders all free will when I make it - Weight Watchers be da***d.

Hey there! I will give you a shout that afternoon, then. We're doing lunch at Coral Reef that day even though they removed the blackened catfish and the octopus juice from the menu ... wankers.

Hi Karin! Thanks for stopping in - I haven't posted on your thread yet but I'm following. I'm always green with envy when I see the itinerary you and your brother have for your Disney trips. :goodvibes

And thanks for the info on the Sweet gift - I thought they looked really cute and the price was surprisingly reasonable. I can't wait to see my hubby's reaction!

Sure. I'll probably be hanging out in the Tambu Lounge before you show up. ;)

We will be in touch and do our best to get over to the Polynesian House of Sushi as soon as we can. :thumbsup2

Hiya! Thanks for stopping in for the newest installment! I'm sorry to hear you may not have a F&W visit lined up this year. You could try telling your wife to do what I've done ... give up until after F&W.

We talked long and hard about Party for the Senseless this year ... it does feel a little odd not to be going. But we just felt like the price, based on the experience we had last year (which was OK but nothing spectacular), was more than we wanted to spend for a full-contact cocktail party. We are using the money we would have spent on PFTS for dinner at V&A the following evening with some friends. I think that will make us much happier in the long run. :goodvibes

love love love Citricos.
You MUST try: appetizer: Gateau of Crab. this ain't your momma's crab cake. who would have though a glorified spider could taste like this. Entree: Braised Boneless Short Ribs. Indescribable. Perhaps the greatest food item at WDW. Certainly in a dead heat with the Pork Tenderloin at CG. The wine list is killer as well. you pretty much can't go wrong here.

Absolutely! If you like shortribs, try the surf and turf appetizer at bluezoo. Three perfectly (and I mean the best I've ever had) seared scallops on a bed of braised shortribs. To say I ate this is to say Michaelangelo made nice sand castles. It was a life event that ranks up there with my marriage and the birth of DD(16).

Pork Tenderloin at CG is wonderful. They used to have a veal cheek dish that made it taste like a Bojangles pork chop buscuit by comparison. It was like eating butter - only beefy.

If you're feeling fishy - and why be in FL if you're not going to eat seafood - try the pan-seared grouper. It's moist and flaky with a light broth. Rivals any sea bass you'll ever have.

Oh yeah ... that souffle makes every other dessert on the ship taste like cardboard. We have the recipe too but haven't made it yet ... now that I think about it I'm not sure why. :confused3 :lmao:

Great post and great advice! I love the comment about Michaelangelo and sandcastles ... spewed coffe! :lmao:

Now let me ask ... is the grouper at Citricos or at CA Grill? It sounds lovely and both of these restaurants are on the radar for this trip ... I'm tempted to try it based on what you just posted about it.

Did you guys ever watch The Tick for the brief time that it was on Fox? Jay and I thought that show was a riot and our favorite character who never made an appearance was Apocalypse Cow. :rotfl:

Loved the Tick! DW and I were dating at the time. Made her seriously question my maturity. I don't remember Apocalypse Cow. The most memorable episode for me was when a villain, who looked like a car wreck of the Statue of Liberty and Wonder Woman, was trying to trap the Tick into marrying her. It ended with him saying to her, "There'll be no Justice of the Peace for you - just a big piece of justice!" Man I miss that show. I was disappointed the live action version with Patrick Warburton (Pat from Soarin') never took off. He was perfect for the Tick.

Did it come out of your nose? I live for doing that to people, especially those as funny as you.

The grouper is at Citrico's. Definitely worth a try. Also have to agree with previous comments about the goat cheese balls (can't remember the exact name - to bad I made them sound like Rocky Mountain Oysters). For dessert, there's some chocolate thingy, which I can't remember the name of, that's definitely not boring. In fact, coffee is a necessity just to cut the richness.

Finally reached the end of 27 pages. Man it's slow moving with all the pics and animations. My ancient PC is wheezing.
