Lalalalalala .... three weeks from tomorrow we'll be on our way to WDW. :cool1:

I don't know what to do with myself now that everything's been taken care of. Still mulling a few ADR tweaks ... I think I'm going to cancel GFC on the morning of the 17th - room service for breakfast on my birthday sounds like a good plan to me. :goodvibes

And I'm still up in the air about Kouzzina for breakfast ... the menu there for the morning meal has a lot of similarites with the Wave's in my opinion and I don't want two breakfasts on this trip that are essentially the same thing.

Oh well ... there's still some time to cogitate.

And now I'm finding myself looking at the WDW florist website again ... they've made it a lot easier to not order anything because they've discontinued so many of the things that we really liked and that were actually good deals. But I still want something for my birthday ... :lmao:

Pathetic ... really; sometimes I am just pathetic. :rotfl2:

Just caught up on your thread. Ugh, we are missing the birthday gathering by one day. We don't arrive until Sunday. Happy Birthday!!! :cake: We are also very harmless and will say hello to anyone I happen to see sporting the Dis or Homer buttons. If I see someone in the burgundy cloak, I will want to take a pic! Well, on most nights I won't be very sober so please dont take offense to my drunken hello's :tilt:.

Hi there! :goodvibes Thanks for the early birthday wishes and definitely say hello if you see us. And don't worry ... we'll undoubtedly be tipsy-wipsy, too. :lmao:

Jordan is ready to conquer the F&W Fest tomorrow during the CM preview. :thumbsup2 I will be waiting not-so-patiently for the kiosk by kiosk review. :surfweb: She's probably doing PFTS on Saturday, too. I can't believe it's finally here. You guys must be getting excited! Hope you're feeling better.

Cheers,
Michelle

Our birthday is sure coming up fast!!!! :scared1::scared1::scared1:

30 more days for us... On the 23rd...are we still planning on a stool at Cava del Tequila? or somewhere else in the vicinity? We currently have an ADR for late lunch/early dinner at Biergarten - 2:40 p. (leaving room for lots of F&W tasting later in the evening) Are you still going to the tequila tasting on the 23rd? - I can't keep up with everyone's changes in dining/events... let alone my own! ;)

Hi Michelle! :goodvibes I can't wait to hear what Jordan's thoughts are on all the food booths ... yum! Three weeks from today we'll be in WDW!! :cool1: Yes indeedy ... getting very excited. Feeling better today, does that count? ;) It wouldn't be a trip to WDW without some kind of new health issue rearing its head. :rotfl2:

I know ... that birthday is getting very close for us, isn't it? :scared1:

The 23rd ... we have a vodka seminar at 3:45 that afternoon. It should be over by 4:30. We have to head back to the BCV to get ready for dinner but since we have to leave through the international gateway and pass by the squishee booth in France we should meet there for a birthday slush, don't you think? Would 5PM work? Do you still have my cell phone number? I'll shoot you a PM just to make sure we're on the same page. :goodvibes

Subscribing!! Loved your other dining reports, I found them after a search "crohn." Its interesting reading TR's of others with it!

Welcome aboard! Are you a Crohn, too? I hope it's treating you OK ... it can really suck sometimes.

I finally tweaked the ADRs to my happy satisfaction ...

dropped the Ohana breakfast on the 15th and replaced it with Kouzzina - since we're spending the day at Epcot it didn't make much sense to travel outside the resort area for a morning meal.

I then dropped the Grand Floridian Cafe on the 17th, reasoning that we'd probably be tired from the prior night gluttonfest at Bluezoo's signature dinner. And besides ... ordering room service for my 40th birthday breakfast sounds more fun than braving WDW transportation.

And then I dropped Kouzzina on the 18th ... we'll just wing it that morning. I'm assuming that we'll be tired from the DISmeet the night before and might even have some leftover birthday cake to enjoy with our coffee.

All others ADRs and plans remain unchanged - I've updated them accordingly in the very first post on this thread.

Now ... for the WDW Florist. I am a sucker for ordering fun and overpriced stuff to be delivered to the room ... I think because I always wanted something like that to happen when I was a kid but it never did. Must be making up for lost time.

It gets harder and harder to find something for both Jay and me that isn't ridiculously overpriced, but this year I hit on one thing that I think we'd both like. I ordered the DVC wine and cheese basket - it comes with a DVC blankie to keep my abnormally cold feet warm, two Mickey wine glasses, a Mickey wine stopper, a bottle of wine (I wanted Pinot Grigio but they told me Chardonnay was my only white wine option), cheese, crackers, and fruit. I then asked them to add a neat little something they're offering called Sweet on You, which is a chocolate Mickey head box filled with chocolate mouse ears.

It's perfect and this way it's something for both of us rather than something just for me, which would have made me feel like a totally selfish cow.

I'm happy. Now I just have to get all the other details like packing and stopping the mail and cleaning the house done before we leave and then we will be on our way to the best WDW trip ever!!!

I am a Crohn too, diagnosed this year. Doing pretty good, though if you ever notice any of my pics, dr had me on the roids for three months b4 the wedding. just starting to come off and it feels great!!:thumbsup2 Hope your trip goes great with no flare!

Your tweaks and treats sound perfect, Brenda. Good work!!

I'll be on the watch for her tomorrow. I've seen so many pictures of her on your threads that I think I'd know her if I see her. :goodvibes

Glad to hear you're doing well. :goodvibes Shame about the 'roids ... my doctor has been pushing to switch me over to a three-month dose but I've been resisting. Told him I might reconsider once this trip is over.

Thanks for the good wishes on the trip ... no sickies for anyone would be fine by me! :thumbsup2

Thanks Elin! It feels great to know that everything is finally final. ;)

I feel exactly the same way! :goodvibes

I will look for you and freaky, green Homer. And no, no overlap at all. Granted, we're not doing any of the big F&W events and there's a lot more gaps to be filled with counter service on my schedule. I'd love to do a DxDDP trip and eat no counter service at all, but our group differs on that subject! Too many picky eaters, people on tight budgets, and food-allergic 2nd graders.
Mine is more like this:
Oct. 14 (solo) arrive at WDW, light lunch, dinner at Tutto Italia, probable margarita consumption in Cava del Tequila
Oct. 15 (solo) breakfast at Boma, lounging by the Kidani Villas pool, Sanaa culinary tour, dinner at Jiko
Oct. 16 (part solo) Donald's Safari Breakfast, snack for lunch, dinner at Yak and Yeti, move to OKW
Oct. 17 some of the 'Junkies arrive, dinner at Crystal Palace
Oct. 18 graze F&W fest, dinner at Le Cellier (I haven't been there in 10 years)
Oct. 19 more 'Junkies arrive, dinner at 'Ohana
Oct. 20 pool day, lunch at Olivia's, dinner counter service during MNSSHP
Oct. 21 graze F&W Fest, but not too much because we have a 40th birthday dinner at California Grill that night
Oct. 22 dinner at SciFi Dine In (I predict at least 1/3 of my dinner conversation will consist of lamenting the long-lost filet at the Brown Derby)
Oct. 23 dinner in St. Louis during a layover, some 'Junkies will be staying for four more days, others will be just arriving as I'm leaving.

Hey!! Hi!! We're doing the F&W on Oct 21st too! :hippie: Wave if you see a tattooed brunette, a long haired DH, a little redhead 2 year old, and a skinny blonde lady (my mom!)

Well, here she is - this was taken last night. Notice the button is being proudly displayed already! :rotfl:

She is on her way to Epcot right now! :yay: They have a behind-the-scenes cast member preview today, too. I can't wait to hear what that is all about.

---

Brenda - I'm glad you ordered something special from the florist. :thumbsup2 I really think this is going to be your best trip yet! :dance3:

so if I see that button around I can yell HEY I MADE THAT even though I won't have one on myself.

I don't get mine till Oct 15 - it's in the temporary custody of very good hands.

I've had a lot of catching up to do on your TR. I think the wine and cheese basket sounds very equitable...I try and disguise these gifties as "joint" things too. Its your bday, so you deserve it! :goodvibes

Will do! That day, we will be a roaming mob of probably about ten people, I think. Just look for a lot of people with New Hampshire/Massachusetts accents accompanied by a big blond from the Midwest!
