Lovin it, as usual.

If you ever happen to be in Harrisburg, PA, Brenda (how and why this would happen, I don't know) you are officially invited over to play Simpsons Scene It.

I've only read a few chapters. But I'm hooked

and starving.

Welcome to the madness and thank you for reading - I hope you enjoy the rest. :goodvibes

that caviar looked amazing!! I have never had it in that way before......beautiful presentation!

Hi Gina! I thought it was pretty amazing, too - and I loved it. Don't think I'll be ordering it again any time soon due to the price but it was a terrific birthday splurge.

Thanks for reading and for the invite. And you never know ... Jay and I have been to Gettysburg twice (Civil War Geeks) and that's not too far from your neck of the woods. We'll bring our Simpsons Monopoly and some good booze and make a night of it! :thumbsup2

Alrighty then! :rotfl2:

Breaking News---well for me! You Food Porner's probably already know.

I posted that a new room was coming to V&A about a month back, but since it's now open, here is the info again. :-)
A new 4-table enclave has been added to Victoria & Alberts with a dining experience even more extravagant than the Chef's Table. "Queen Victoria's Room" offers a 10 course dinner and rolling carts that travel to each table. The experience costs $200 per person and $295.00 per person with wine pairings, but will offer an even greater level of service. There is also a new V&A web site and a new V&A-only phone number 407-WDW-DVNA (407-939-3862) for reservations. Read more on the new V&A web site:

Ok Bendy who told you,Did Jason refuse to sail with me?....:rotfl2::lmao::rotfl2:

One day we'll sail together i'll simply sign in as Bendyisahottie and by the time he realizes it's us it will be too late,we'll have already set sail....:snooty:

Great update as usual. I've only had caviar once, and it was just with crackers. I've loved the set-up and I especially loved the mother of pearl spoon. So pretty!

I have a question that perhaps you or your readers could help me with. How do you go about getting something sent to a resort as a birthday suprise? We will be there for one night next month (visiting relatives in SW Fla) at the Poly to celebrate DS10 and DD6's birthdays. Also, in April, my niece will be at WDW on her sweet 16 birthday and my nephew for his 11th birthday when my brother and his family take their first family trip ever. Thought it would be nice to send something for the birthday boys/ girls.

Here we go again! :lmao: Another fab update and I am late again! But Mickey makes me go to work so I can hand over ALL my "dough" to him! :lmao::rotfl2:

I am just in awe about your Victoria and Albert's review. Everything looks so good and the caviar presentation is awesome!
Oh my gosh I need to talk Tom into this some day! I LOVE what I am seeing so far - keep up the good work - I JUST LOVE YOUR REVIEWS!!!!!!!!!!!! :cloud9:

What a lovely start to what I'm sure continues to be a lovely meal.:cloud9: And, to borrow a phrase I kinda hate, Yum-O to the caviar.:cool1: I wonder if Disney ever considered having meatbutter as an extra expense item? Then those crazy people could ignore it, and those of us with tastebuds could order it for a little somethin' somethin'. I don't think we should have to pay extra for it, but at least then it would be available.

Also, send in the clowns?:rotfl2: I don't even know what the real lyrics are anymore, just the Krusty ones.:lmao:

Disney used to have meat butter, uh foie gras, for years. Disney took it off their menus around the beginning of October 2008. Those of us who gripe endlessly about it think it's all about political correctness. And we find that lame and unacceptable!

WHAAAAAAT? :confused3 :scared1: :sad2:

Are you really sailing the TA? Good for you and bad for us ... Jay's employer wouldn't give him the time off (after they OK'd it last year when we booked). I couldn't go without him, could I?

And when I just told him that it sounds like you are taking that cruise he said something I can't say here ... I think he wants to run away with you as much as I do. :cutie:

If you head to the mousetrap after the cruise we insist on having dinner somewhere with you guys ... and it doens't even have to be frou-frou. :lmao:

Thanks for reading - glad you enjoyed the update. I was really charmed by the presentation ... it was so pretty and tasted great too!

Depending on what you want the surprise to be, you could order something from room service once you check in and ask them to deliver something while you're out ... we did that once with a chocolate covered strawberry presentation a couple of years ago at the Beach Club.

The other option is to order something from the WDW Florist. Just google them and you will find their website - they have a lot of options to choose from ... some of them ridiculously overpriced ... but we've had good success using them for ourselves as well as for others who we've sent things to.

Hey lady! You're never too late for one of my updates ... ask anyone! Thanks for taking the time to read and I'm glad you've enjoyed V&A so far - I loved the caviar ... didn't expect to but I did!

If you have the Tables in Wonderland Card (you can buy it if you're annual passholders) you can get a 20% discount off your final bill in the dining room. That made it a bit easier for me to splurge on the caviar servce ... it's a pretty substantial discount for two people. Just thought I'd mention that if it helps get you a reservation for dinner at V&A! :rolleyes1

Hi Laura! Thanks for reading ... it was a great evening with some great food.

And as Lori already stated below ... the foie gras used to be an upcharge on V&A's menu so that's not the problem. I believe the Disney Dining Borg are pandering ... and trying to keep expenses down. I might be able to shrug it off if it didn't affect V&A but I personally think it's detrimental to the restaurant when bureaucrats dictate what can and can't be on the menu.

Send in the Clowns ... I know ... it's just wrong. :rotfl2:

Yeah, what she said. :thumbsup2

I love your reviews! And there are so many in one trip.....

Thanks very much! We are incredible pigs ... only halfway through the trip and way too many reviews already!

Hope to get V&A Part II up this weekend. Thanks for reading everyone! :goodvibes

Oh my goodness!

Brenda, that caviar looks divine!

Now if the upgrade is still at $90 when I go in march I might be tempted to order it....but then again...I really want to try the Australian Kobe upgrade....decisions decisions.... :rotfl:

Looking forward to part 2! :thumbsup2

Love, love, love your reviews :yay:
The caviar looks wonderful and what a special place to treat yourself to such a special dish :cloud9:

Another wonderful review!

Thats a pretty steep upcharge on the fish eggs. We get ours from Wal-Mart for about $3 when we go fishing. Never thought to eat them! :lmao:

We crooned quietly, but there was a lot of giggling and then we were interrupted by a member of the staff who told me that a strange person had stopped by to leave me a birthday baggie. As soon as I realized it was the hilarious and mysterious LisaDKG, I bolted from the table with my husband in order to meet her. Not only was this undoubtedly rude on my part, but I missed the rest of the darn song, too! So I apologize to my tablemates as well as to the harpist who was no doubt scarred for life by what we did.

The plus side is that I had a chance to meet someone from the DIS that I've been talking with for a couple of years - she is a sharp, very funny lady and so cute and tiny, too! I felt like a mammoth, ready-to-burst pistachio nut standing next to her.

Finally got my computer up here in Canada thawed with my blow dryer to catch up on your adventures. As this might be the first time in my life that someone has described me as tiny I just had to post (although you're probably aware that I get called sharp and very funny on a daily basis). I also had to add that pistachios are my favorite and one of the smaller members of the nut family and that you looked absolutely beautiful in your dress and should probably ALWAYS wear your tiara. As well, even though my family of four described this WDW trip as one of our BEST EVER (which is saying something), for me, having my stalking pan out with a face to face meeting of you and the dapper Jay was seriously a highlight (please don't tell DH, DS, DD or Miyuki the Candy Lady). If I could've ditched those pesky family members and pulled up a chair at V&A, asking for my own bread plate and a cold glass of tap water I sure would have! Until next time my friendy Bendy...!

Wow, and you got to meet Lisa! Very cool.
Shout out to you Michelle, you sweetie you!

The elusive, mysterious, clever LisaDKG makes an appearance on pie thread! :worship::worship::worship:

You've never been called tiny before? You're so petite ... honestly, I felt like an Amazon standing next to you; and a fat Amazon at that.

It's a testament to your stalking skills that you found us so easily and before I was too tipsy to leave the table without tripping over myself. :rotfl2: And I applaud your bravery after that rambling, silly voice mail message I think I left on your phone earlier in the week.

Thank you for the surprise and the chance to meet - it was a highlight for me as well. And I'm glad you had a chance to meet Jay because he's actually my better half. :thumbsup2

Be well and don't be a stranger!
