Does anyone know if I can track down Pictures I didn't buy on the ship. We sailed last week and I bought some but am sorry I didn't buy more.
Thanks

I have not heard that you can do that. Great excuse to book antoher cruise :-)

Unfortunately, I think once the cruise is over, your pictures are history.

Another point I wanted to bring up -- on our recent Dec Wonder cruise, we stacked our photos as suggested here. I noticed a few other families did the same. On the second day of our cruise, however, all 3 stacked photos of ours disappeared and never resurfaced. I searched carefully.

I noticed on the morning of debarcation when Shutters was open, other cruisers had large stacks of photos still sitting there, including their embarcation photos, so I was sad that our embarcation photos and DGS's photo with Minnie by the pool were confiscated early on, even though they were stacked.

I guess you have to collect them and have Shutters put them aside every day, if you do not want to lose any.

I wish they would come up with a better method of handling this. I think they would get more sales if you could wait until later & decide.

I remember someone posting that they hold onto your negatives for 6 weeks or so then toss them....contact DCL and ask...maybe they can steer you in the right direction.

I could do that but DH may divorce me!

I'll try contacting DCL and see what they say and hope the person answering the phone knows what I'm talking about.

We stacked our photos on the Magic back in March. I couldn't find them the 3rd or 4th night. I spoke with a CM and he helped me find them. He suggested that I let them know I wanted to wait to the end of the cruise to decide.

The same CM was very helpful when we couldn't find photos that we had remembered being taken. I told him when and where the photos were taken and he was able to get duplicates made for me.

If you wait until a time when there aren't so many people waiting to be taken care of the CM are more willing to help search.

There is a way to obtain your photos after your cruise...they do indeed hold the negatives for 6 weeks after...but your not gaurenteed to get the exact photo your looking for unless you have all the infromation that is printed on the back side of the photo...However if you know what one your looking for you can send them a detailed description of the photo..and even e-mail a pic of the person or people in the photo...to help them locate the one your looking for.

The cost isn't as bad as I though it would have been...it's the same as on the ship...except you have to order $20.00 worth of things.

We also stacked our photos through the week...thinking they would be safe and kept together...but everyday we had to seach for our photos and restack them...I should have just purchased as we went...because thats how we ended up leaving the ONE photo I really wanted. Next time I'll know buy as we go...you can alway exchange or add to your packet. So I'm going to for sure buy them as I see them and know I want them...and probely stack the others that I'm not sure of...for the last day.
