Hi everybody!

Where is the best place to get a picture of Mickey with my niece? Also, how much does Disney charge for it? :earsboy:

Thanks in advance for the help everyone! :goodvibes

Studio M at Downtown Disney. Not sure what the charge is. Typically MUCH less crowded than Mickey's Tent.

Mickeys toon town fair in MK. I don't know what the cost is, but I think it is probably the same as what they charge for the photopass pics (maybe something like 12.95??) I'm sure someone else on this board will know the pricing!

Mickey's Toon Town Fair......you can get a photopass card and actually pull the photos up at home....no charge.... :thumbsup2

I got a picture with Mickey in Animal Kingdom in Camp Miney Mickey at about 2:30 in the afternoon on Saturday. There was one person ahead of me. I then got one with Goofy (no one in front of me) and donald (1 person ahead of me.) I couldn't believe how easy it was. We had just finished seeing Lion King followed by Pocahontas and were sitting on a bench having an ice cream cone when my friend said, "Hey look, there are all these characters behind us and no one is there!" So we did the photopass and got lots of pictures.

Forgive me for being a relative Disney newbie, but you mean if you stand on those huge lines at the bottom of Main St USA where Mickey usually hangs out [for example], it's not like the other character lines ~ you can't just get a signature and snap a picture of the kid and The Mouse?

from my experience being a character.... animal Kingdom is your best bet. True he is not wearing his tuxedo and instead is wearing his safari gear... But he has a big space to work with and we as characters have more fun in this enviroment.
all character meet and greats are free except for those in restaraunts. Photopasses are free and you never have to buy. And attendants and photopass photographers are happy (or at least pretend to be) to take a picture for you with your camera. dont' be afraid to ask, faimly pictures are great! just please tell the tall men in your group to please not bang on the character heads.. i just want to punch men who do that. It hurts and it knocks us off balance. OH and be careful where you touch a character.... because fur is only skin deep if you are catching my drift.

ps. I hate working toontown. it's hot and dark..

i'm 6 feet tall.. thats all the hint i'm giving you.

I think toon town and I'm pretty sure it is free :wave2:

Toon Town or a character breakfast are the best places (AK is probably the least crowded so that might be a good idea too)

If you want Disney to take the photo it costs whatever the Photopass pictures cost to print (the card is free though), but you can just take your own picture of you kid and Mickey ;)

We loved Studio M...no line...walked right into a private room with Mickey and visited and had our picture taken. Unfortunately it is no more.

IMHO the best place to get a picture with Mickey is in MGM just down the street from Millionaire. He's in his Sorcerer robe and hat and there is rarely a line.

Toontown Fair is always a sure thing. We like having our pic taken with Mickey there. I think a 5x7 is around $12.95. You can see the pic before you buy it so you know whether it will be good or not.

Chef Mickey's is always a good time? Of course he's dressed like a chef. I guess that's obvious. But it may not be the picture you're looking for.

Toontown's my current favorite location for Mickey. I like the look of it in photos. MGM looks cool too.

Wow! This wasn't my question but thanks for all the wonderful ideas. I'm going down with about 7 kids and I'm sure at one point they will want a picture with Mickey.

It all depends on how you want him dressed. If you want him in standard gear, I'd do the Judge's Tent in Toontown. He's pretty much there all day, but my favorite was near Who Wants to be a Millionaire in MGM. It was an air conditioned line that moved fast and he was dressed as the sorcerer from Fantasia. The picture turned out great there. He's also in the Camp Minnie-Mickey at AK and I think he's dressed for a safari there. Good luck and have fun. You can take your own pictures there too, just in case you didn't know. Some of ours turned out better than the Disney photopass ones because we actually cared if our kids were looking at the camera etc. In fact, I'd be sure to take my own. Some of the ones that photopass just did didn't come out so great!

Epcot now has a Character greeting area near Innoventions. Mickey and Minnie were both there and available for picture taking opportunities. We also saw Donald Duck, Pluto and Goofy. The lines were short and the CM's kept things moving.

where in down town disney is studio M and what exactly is it? ive never seen it

The Character Connection at EPCOT is awesome. We were there with friends the other Sunday, and around 2pm there were NO lines. It's inside so it's air conditioned, and very organized. Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Chip and Dale, and Donald were there, plus we found Gepetto in the hallway on the way out. I took my own photos, but the PhotoPass photos were so good, I ordered them too!

Obviously this is Minnie, but this is at Character Connection at EPCOT - I scanned this one from one I purchased - Mickey is on my other computer, but you get the idea

OH, MY SISTER AND I WERE JUST IN EPCOT LAST THURSDAY AND THERE'S A SECTION INDOORS IN THE INNOVATIONS PART WHERE THE CHARACTERS COME OUT FROM 9AM TO 4 OR 5:30...BUT WE STUMBLED UPON IT ALONG WITH A VERY SHORT LINE TO GET A PIC WITH MICKEY AND ALL HIS PALS. AND WHEN WE WALKED BY LATER CHARACTERS LIKE PINOCCHIO WERE IN THERE! IT WAS CALLED "CHARACTER EXPRESS" i THINK(???)

Makinorlando: That's really weird, when I was writing my repsonse I didn't even realize you had JUST written the same thing as me!
CHARACTER CONNECTION!!!! That's what it's called! I couldn't remember!
But yes, that's a great place for photos with your fave characters!
