Oh wow! I seriously think Pleasure Island is a big part of why I'm such a Disney fan today. Somehow I managed to be the right age at the right time to enjoy this part of Disney. I remember my first job out of college (for a big consulting firm) conducted a large "training" in Orlando, and my fellow trainees and I had a GREAT time partying at Pleasure Island. I also remember visiting PI with a boyfriend in the mid-2000's, and buying grape jello shots in big plastic syringes on the PI streets... classy! I have to find the photos of that... oh boy.
Does anyone have any pictures of the Secret Path that used to exist in Animal Kingdom? It was between Asia and Africa--kind of where the horrible smoking area used to be. I can't find any of my pictures that really do it justice. You used to be able to go back through some bushes , there was a small waterfall and then there were stepping stones through a little stream. This was probably in the early 2000's. My kids loved playing in the stream as we were usually the only ones back there.
That's cool! At least over Christmas, it would have been helpful to use that path, as the main walkway from Africa to Asia was the only place in the park to get a picture infront of the tree without any scrims blocking the view.
I remember, on something like my 5th or 6th trip to WDW, finally going to see CircleVision 360 late one afternoon with hurting feet. I was SOOOOO disappointed that there were no seats. I sat on the floor and didn't see any of the footage. WORST. ATTRACTION. EVER.
