Not only can you not see this show, but as Pluto has aged, his tongue has gotten shorter. (Though I know that a lot of the characters have changed appearances over the years.)
Me, too! Just about that same time. We lived in Miami at the time, and the Miami Herald travel pages would have weekend specials for Kissimmee motels on Irlo Bronson (192). One we stayed at was so new they were putting in the palm trees during our stay. Then when Dixie Landings opened, there appeared a Florida special in the paper, so we booked. We never stayed off-property again. For many years we tried to book French Quarter but it was always full.
When Disney built their on-site Values, Moderates and additional Deluxe hotels starting in the late 1980s, it was a sea change for Disney and Kissimmee. Currently, on occasion I'll be on 192, and some of the former brand-new places look so forlorn. People like me long-ago moved on to either on-site Disney resorts or nicer, bigger, off-site properties with more Disney-like amenities.
