So, it seems we may be going to DL. I think I may need to see some photos/hear some tales about the GCH to help me decide if the price is worth it. Actually, it's not me you have to convince, it's my Mom.

We are heading there this week! I can post photos and a report when we get back. We are so looking forward to it....kind of freaked out by how much we spent, but everyone says it's worth it. Gotta do it at least once!

I don't have pics at work but it's sooooooooooooooooooo worth it!!!!! GCH is an amazing hotel, it's gorgeous, the service is great, the rooms are nice.....by far my favorite DL area hotel!! By far out of my budget but still....LOL

I wish I had my photos on this computer! But I love love LOVE the GCH and it is the only place we stay now! It is an amazing place and you will love it!

It looks like GCH offers a bit better selection in the lounge than DLH. I know DLH never offered the strawberries, and scones, in fact besides wine hour it was pretty much the same things served daily when we went in Oct.

We love GCH too. We have stayed in the DLH, which we enjoyed as well. The major difference between the two are the rooms at the GCH are smaller than the DLH. Also, the GCH is so much more convienent to CA Adventure.

We normally stay in a room with the theme park/pool view. We love it! Especially the lights from CA Adventure.


Last time we stayed in a room with the courtyard view. This is it:

It is a fabulous hotel. For me, no, it's not my favorite. I'm a DLH gal I'd rather stay in the Dreams tower with a DTD view than the GCH, where all I can afford is the standard view. Our GCH room was so far away from everything, inconvenient to almost everything and smaller than our rooms at DLH that I wasn't that impressed. However, if you get a room closer to the lobby and/or elevators, it would be much better than my experience. I do think you have to do it once!

We went for my birthday a year ago July (I know the dates on the pictures are not right). It was a surprise for my Anniversary/Birthday. I have no idea of what the total price tag - was nor do I want to know...

We just had a standard room booked but asked upon check in in we could have a room with bunk beds. They didn't have any for our first night but offered us one for night two and rest of our stay. It turned out that the room they gave us not only had the bunk beds but was also overlooking the pool and California Adventure and we didn't even have to pay for any upgrade. We were very pleasantly surprised.

This was our first trip that we actually spent some time at the hotel instead of in the park. The kids LOVED the pool and we loved having the entrance to Calif. Adv so close. One evening, we actually came down just to ride GRR (Grizzly River Run) in our extra casual clothes/swimsuits and sandals and then went back immediately to change. It was so nice not to have to walk around in wet clothes and shoes.

Sorry I do not have any pictures of our second room. All of the ones I had, have the kids in them.
