And DD is getting too old to go ga-ga for characters but she still loves them all the same..

There were a lot, but these were the two that really stood out. Now if my last son was born at the time..he would freak to see any character from Cars! and Buzz...he would love that one too.

If only Disney would give us a beautiful princess who wears glasses!!! Your post touched my heart as DD has worn glasses since she was 2 (she's 5 now), and still occasionally gets upset about wearing them because "Princesses don't wear glasses". I can't remember which Princess it was (we see so many as she loves characters), but one of them told her on our last trip that they loved her glasses (I'm guessing a Princess that probably wore them as a child and knows) and it really made her happy.

Don't even THINK of telling my daughter that princesses don't wear glasses!

DD was 15 the first time we went to Disney, but she was determined to do character greetings, character meals, autographs, the whole nine yards. "I didn't get to do this as a kid, but I'm doing it now!"

We had dinner at CRT the first full day we were at WDW, and we'd already met Mickey and Minnie and the Fairies, but for some reason she really connected with Snow White at dinner:

I know this thread is meant to be for pics of kiddos , but I hate having my photo taken and am happy to share these 2 with you....it's what Disney is all about.

I "love" those photos! That IS what Disney is all about. Thank you so much for sharing them. :goodvibes

I echo others here...this is a wonderful thread. It brings a smile to my face (and sometimes a tear or two) to see these wonderful, happy Disney moments.

Keep 'em coming!!

I've been on here for 6 or 7 years and never knew how to post a pic! This thread has inspired me to do so...I love seeing all these happy people! Here's my DS 8 getting a hug from Donald....

This series of pics are my fave of my daughter Annie - she was feeling a little self consious meeting Cinderella and the step-sisters - she's shy and she was worried cause she didn't think princesses should wear glasses. So everyone kind of blew by her - they were nice, just not too interactive - Prince Charming, Cinderella, the step-mother and Anastasia. Then came Drizella - She was AMAZING. I think she could see my daughter was a little shy etc. Annie took to her and they talked for a good 5 minutes. She came back to see her after that one more time and they danced while the rest of the kids wanted to dance with Cinderella and Prince Charming.
Here's the pics:

This last one is my fave - you can just see how happy my little girl is!

sometimes, you will find her as the red-headed stepsister (that's how we know her best). and i agree that she is FANTASTIC!!!!

this drizella (below) made such an impression on DD that she dressed as her for halloween. she told DD, "i'm not usually a hugger, but come here." this picture is priceless to us. we carried around in June, but she was not out greeting. so, my sister took the picture in November and she graciously signed it for DD. we have it framed on her dresser.

What an awesome story! I love that you found her again! :goodvibes

Our favorite is Fairy Godmother. We have met the same Fairy Godmother on 4 separate trips. First was January 08. My daughter was dressed in a Fairy Godmother costume, not something she sees every day, but still........ we were only with her for a couple of minutes at most.

When we got back in December that year, we saw it was the same one and got in line again. She told my daughter she had grown (which I figure she probably told all the kids) but then ASTOUNDED me by asking where here fairy godmother costume was. I picked my jaw up off the ground then explained it was now too short..........

Fast forward to September 09. It had been 9 months. We saw it was her and got in line. THIS time she asked what we were doing there in the heat since we usually come in the winter! YIKES! She's good! And she had me wondering if maybe she DID have some magical powers........

We saw her again in December 2010. It was so fun that she greeted us by name. We've considered Disneyland for our next trip, but our Fairy Godmother won't be there, so how could we????? :goodvibes

My son meeting Fawn ( I think thats her name). We waited 25 minutes for my son to see the fairies. He really loved Tinkerbell. But I can't find her pictures at the moment.

He was like "ooooh a fairy mommy" right before I took this

i saw that in your trip report! i think it's great to have a special relationship with a particular character. i think it's easier to identify those who dress like them (for the less popular characters, as far as costumes). when you have to make (or have made) a particular costume, it has to be special to them. i love your costumes, by the way. just gorgeous.

for my DD, it's this Drizella. we've only met her twice (my sister was the third time), but she made a HUGE impression. we do love a particular Anastasia (she was picture in the other post as Drizella). DD was devastated that Driz wasn't greeting in June--did not even want to meet the one that was out, but did because it was "our" Anastasia. we learned she was performing in the parade (weren't told which one). DD made us watch all the parades until we finally spotted her on our last night, in Cinderella's court during MSEP.

i'm just glad she was out again in November.

Hi there!

Sorry I didn't recognize your id from my trip report. I'm glad you guys got to catch up with your Drizella again. It's an awesome story. I sure hope you get to see her again when you get back. Our Drizella in December (not yours) was really good too. I think those CM's have a ball with those characters.

I just think it's precious that your DD insisted that you watch all the parades until you found her!
