February 1st. Day 8. Friday. Last day
Not many pictures from today. We were basically just dragging our feet. Why do we have to leave?
We got up at 9:30am and Darren went to get McDonald's.
Our last picture in the room:
We got on the bus headed to Magic Kingom. On the bus with us were four older ladies. It was their first day (UGH!) and they were going to Magic Kingdom for the first time. They were so cute and sweet. They were going on a cruise after their Disney trip. I hope they had a great time.
We get into the park and browse around in the stores a bit. Darren liked these.
We rode Pirates with a 20 minute wait. Then Haunted Mansion with a 10 minute wait. We got stuck on this ride, right at the part where the spooky doll is telling you to "Hurrrrryyy baaaa-aaack...Be sure to bring your death certificate. We've been *hehe* dying to have you." So yeah. Too bad we couldn't have stayed stuck, then we'd still be in Disney right now!
It was starting to rain, and we were all depressed with the leaving Disney blues, so we figured we might as well head back to the hotel. We were planning on leaving at about 3am that morning.
On the way out, Darren stopped in a store and bought the picture he'd been wanting all week:
As we left the park, Darren's dad returned the cart. I noticed something funny.
He had a long lost twin!
We got back to the resort and got some lunch. I had the grilled cheese and Darren got pasta again.
Then we went to the arcade for awhile and cashed in all those tickets Darren had been saving. We got alot of air heads and Mike and Ikes!
After leaving the arcade, we headed back to the room and took a nap.
A couple of hours passed and we went BACK to the food court for ice cream. (I didn't realize it then, but we ate ALOT! Haha) Darren's parents were in there so we just sat and talked about the trip and stuff.
We were back in the room by 9pm. We packed up all of our stuff and loaded it into the van. Then we (tried) to go to bed fairly early since we were leaving at 3am.
Around 2:30am, Darren's dad called and told us to get up. We brushed our teeth, packed up the toothbrushes, made a final look around the room to make sure we didn't forget anything, and off we went.
I slept pretty much the whole rest of the night and most of the next morning. Remember all those movies I brought? I didn't watch a single one!

But hey, they were there if I needed them!
The sky looked really pretty on the way home.
Our sad faces:
We made it home safe and sound and sad. It was a great trip. We made alot of memories and had tons of fun. I rode Everest TWICE! We came face to face with a baby giraffe. We got to watch the Karuka Acrobats a number of times. It was a perfect trip!
I would just like to say
THANK YOU
to all of you for sharing this with me. You really made me feel good about my report and helped me remember all of the great things that happened. This was one of the best parts of the trip!! It was my first report, and I will do one for every trip now. I will print this out to show Darren just how many people tagged along for the ride. I tell him about me, but he doesn't understand quite yet!
Thank you for welcoming me, and I hope you all join me for my Pre-Trip Report (link in my signature). Y'all rock!!!!!!
