Pictures at Disney..

Does anyone know if there is somewhere at WDW that you can bring your digital photos and have them turned in to some sort of Disney photo book? I thought it would be a cool thing to do if even such a thing exists

It's called Photo Pass. Pre-pay for the CD and you can have the Disney Photogs take as many pictures as you want and you can up-load your own. You can add boarders and even make a picture book on-line.

It appears the book and cd have gone up to $169. However, we are very happy with the book and service!

One note about the PhotoPass CD: If you buy the PhotoPass CD, the ONLY pictures that are burned to the PhotoPass CD are those taken by the PhotoPass photographers.

You can upload your own pictures to the PhotoPass site. Its not a very fast process (if I remember correctly, it took us 45 minutes to upload 300 pictures that were about 2MB each in size), but its fairly easy to do. Once you upload your pictures, you can burn your photos to a CD for $19.95.

The PhotoPass site offers just about every type of photo-related gift you can imagine. You can use the PhotoPass photos, or your own photos, or even a selection of stock Disney photos to make books, coffee mugs, puzzles, stickers, etc. We just came back from a family reunion and we created 2010 calendars for our family members using some PhotoPass pics and photos we all uploaded.

We enjoyed creating the calendars and had fun putting borders and captions on some of the pictures.

If you sign on to the Disney PhotoPass website, you'll see several choices regarding CDs. The Personal Photo Archive is the cheapest at $19.95. This is the CD you want if you upload your own photos and want to add Disney's borders and graphics. It does NOT include any of the PhotoPass photos that were taken at the Parks/Resorts, nor does it include any of the stock photos.

The other CDs for sale include the Disney Photo Gallery CD, which has only stock photos. This CD is priced at $39.95. Then there is the Disney PhotoPass PhotoCD for $149.95. This includes only the photos taken by the PhotoPass photographers. You can add borders and graphics to these photos. BTW, if you buy the PhotoPass PhotoCD before your trip, the price is $99, with a guarantee that if you don't purchase the CD you can get your money back.
