Pictures and reviews 1900 park fare?

Don't have pics up on photobucket, but we have gone to 1900 Park Fare for dinner twice and love it! In fact, I'm booking it tomorrow morning for our next trip!

We think the food is quite good! There is something for everyone. The kids buffet has some basic kid fare - pizza, mac and cheese, buttered pasta, corn, broccoli, chicken.

Lots of choices for those wanting more than buttered noodles! Salads, soup (DD LOVES the Strawberry Soup and cannot get enough; I love the Asparagus soup!). There are samplings from different regions - Asian, French, Italian. Two meats at the carving station. And dessert - soft serve Edy's and assorted cakes/treats.

The character interactions here are great. Cinderella and Prince Charming as as gracious as ever. The Stepmother and Stepsister are a RIOT!!! Our 1st time Stepmother told my DD (4 at the time) to stand up on her chair to take a picture, and when she was done told her to sit down and eat her veggies - I have never seen broccoli go in her little mouth so fast before!

The Stepsisters lead a little "parade" around the dining room for the little kids. And Cinderella and Prince Charming come out for a spotlight dance together, and then with kids. It's adorable.

Hope you enjoy it! If I can manage a photobucket upload I'll add in some pictures!

We have eaten here 3 times. Once for breakfast and twice for dinner. Breakfast was upscale buffet food. It was tasty and the characters were really cool. We met Alice and the Mad Hatter. Mostly it was the characters that were British in some way. Alice, Pooh, Mary Poppins. I would do it again.
We have done dinner here twice. LOVE it. The stepsisters are hilarious and the stepmother is convincingly evil. She got my 3 y/o to eat his veggies. The interaction with Cinderella and the Prince was amazing. We made 2 trips here in 6 months and Cinderella actually remembered my 5 year old from the time before! As a matter of fact, we liked this MUCH better than Cinderella's Royal Table. The service at 1900 Park Fare was better, the food was better, and you actually got to interact with the characters. We are going to do this again when we take my baby brother (he's 26) to Disney. Can't wait!

SO EXCITED! We have reservations for September dinner! I have a DD4, DD14, and 2 nephews: 13 and 14. I hope DD4 have the nerve to do the parade!!

1900 Park Fair is a must for our family every year. One of our favorite character meals, the characters are great, the stepmother and sister make the evening, watching then sing makes it all worth it. they really do stay in character and play the parts great. The food is good, Probably only second in choice and quality to crystal palace or a character buffet. They do usually have a make your own pasta station.(or some other type of food) Please if you go, make sure you get a nice (BIG) bowl of the Strawberry soup....OHHHH the best!! Well worth it, specially if your on the dining plan.

We're trying it for the first time this summer. I read that there is often a wait for your ADR. Did others find this too?

We have had to wait before, but never really more than 15 minutes, so it's not bad. Plus, if the pianist is playing, it's really a nice relaxing wait at the GF for your meal!

We like this much, much better than CRT, too. Characters are not rushed at all and spend some time at each table. The periodic introductions of Cinderella, the Prince, and the stepmother and stepsisters make for a wonderful show and the Prince dancing with all the little "princesses" and Cinderella dancing with all the little "princes" is just priceless. They really do try to give each child a turn, too. This meal felt very special to us. Much more so than the rushed kaos of CRT.
We are usually not buffet people either, but we loved this one. It is very unique the way it is organized by foods from various countries. And the food is delicious! Very nice presentation and a wonderful experience all the way around. On our next trip in August, we are skipping CRT and Akershus and just doing this one for our Princess meal with DD6.

Does Cinderella wear her blue dress or her white wedding dress? TIA! --Mary

we're going here for the first time in december. thanks for all the great reviews!

We went last summer and loved it! We got there for an early dinner at 4:35 and they chose my DD6 to open the restaurant and walk hand in hand with Cinderella! It was the highlight of her trip! Next time I want to try out the breakfast with the Mad Hatter! Hope you have a wonderful time!

We did it last year for dinner with DD who was 3 and it is a must do for our October trip.

We didn't have to wait to be seated with our adr. They do take a picture by a wall mural that they later try to sell you.

The characters were all excellent and seemed to have time eg Cinderella waved to DD when going back past after DD had already had her turn.

DD was wary about the stepsisters and they realised that - didn't get too near so DD was happy. They were having a fabulous time with a table nearby with teenage children.

Yes it is noisy the step sisters shout accross the room but very funny.

DH who doesn't usually like that sort of thing was the one who insisted on a revisit.

We will be eating there for our first time in late August, have a dinner ressie.

Did it for the first time this year. Great interaction; especially Prince Charming; hubba, hubba. He asked us how far we came to see him and we said Delaware. He said that must have been a long carriage ride.

We said, nope, took us only about two hours.

He replies, then you must have ridden on one of those magic carpets I have been hearing so much about. :lmao:

Druscilla also praised for being well prepared, when we lent a family an extra pen to sign autographs. We almost fell out of our chairs over her!

We're going for the first time this November, too! I have a breakfast booked and can't wait to meet the Mad Hatter. I read on another thread that if you tell him that it is someone's Unbirthday that he make a big deal over it. Has anyone tried this?

We are going in Aug for breakfast. Very excited. Do they have the cheesy hash browns? Not that that is a dealbreaker or anything. I don't base ALL my decisions on Cheesy potatoes. :lmao:

This is making me so excited!! We have dinner booked for our arrival night and I hope the kids aren't too tired!

Really?! We'll be celebrating an UnBirthday when we go for breakfast in November. We'll have to do this!
