Pictures and masks

Oddly dd and I were at the parks August and October and have memory maker from our AP. We did not get a single ride picture! Many times we were the only ones on a ride and always kept our mask on so I have to wonder if they even doing pictures??

We did not want any of the ride pix we just thought it was odd that not a single one from all 4 parks showed up.

any chance your Magic Band isn’t working for photos? Supposedly that happens when they get old, even if they can work for doors and tapstyles.

We were visiting last week and ended up with a photo of the wrong family on Expedition Everest. When I contacted Disney about the missing/incorrect photo, I was told it was because we weren‘t wearing masks, which is absolutely untrue. My daughter and I are diligent mask wearers. We watched several other people taking their masks off on rides, but we never did this. I wonder if it was due to someone else in the photo who wasn’t wearing a mask? I’m sad we’re missing out photo and felt kind of angry with the response I got that we didn’t get our photo because we weren’t wearing masks. Absolutely not true. 🙁
Yeah, the correct response to that would’ve been “perhaps someone in the rose vehicle wasn’t wearing a mask, or there could’ve been an issue with your MagicBand being read.” Don’t accuse a guest of something when you clearly don’t know. I would’ve taken that opportunity to do some training, but I’m sure you’re more polite than I am. Sorry you didn’t get your pic.

Serious question though... and not looking to break rules or anything. But as I understand it, you are allowed to temporarily remove your mask to eat as long as you are stationary and socially distant.

So are you allowed to purchase a mickey bar, or a bottle of water for the kid, have them take a drink, and while they are putting the bottle away, snap a quick picture?

Again, not looking to bend the rules. I am just curious if that would be a problem? Because everything in there is "allowed"?

If they are putting the bottle away, they aren't actively drinking, so no. I mean I guess you could do it while they are actively eating or drinking. But that's not really what the intent of the rule is, so who knows.

Well, I mean it takes a couple of seconds to put the bottle down and lift your mask back up. So you have to be quick on the trigger...

Since OP question has been answered and there's simply no way to have any thread with the word mask in it not go astray, closing.
The rules state that you cannot take your masks off for pictures, like someone suggested a great place is the relaxation zone in Tomorrowland Terrace where this is allowed . No matter what we think might be safe or if the rules sounds silly, it is the rule and that is pretty black and white
