MK 430 Close January 27

Great day! We did so much even with having a table service breakfast and it was just nice for the park not to feel so packed.

Such a great day to be at MK, despite the cold. We didn’t arrive until 1:00, but did 7DMT in 30 min (posted 40), Tron in 30 (posted 45), lunch at Cosmic Rays, walked on Little Mermaid, Peter Pan in 20 min (posted 35), Haunted Mansion in 15 min, and walked on Tiana’s at 4:20 before closing. My mother has been having mobility issues and using a walker, so that’s all the rest of us wanted to do today. Biggest issue was getting to the TTC after. The express monorail was packed, so we made the mistake of getting in the line for the resort monorail, figuring we’d get off at the second stop and thinking there wouldn’t be many coming in on it since MK was now closed. Wasn’t thinking of all the people going from Epcot to the resorts, etc. After waiting 20 min and only being able to load a few people in each monorail they recommended we go back down the ramp and onto the Express monorail which had mainly cleared out. Our mistake!

Documenting wait times for future years when this question is asked re: 4:39 closure and how it affects crowds. (Some can be attributed to colder weather but the other 3 parks are not showing the drastic difference in wait times that MK is showing.)

These were the wait times at 3:30PM.

Tiana's 5 minute wait was in reality a walk-on when I went around 2:00. I walked out of the Emporium just as the afternoon parade was coming down Main Street and got front row-a completely empty spot.

I really contemplated going but the cold won out for me Glad everyone had a good time! I will try for the next one.
