There is a new Disney Visa card on the way and I'm curious what it could mean for possibly an extra discount on buying DVC points with it.

Tuesday in EPCOT I spotted ads at Club Cool checkout counters for this black Disney card called Inspire, above the standard and Premier cards per the higher sign up bonuses advertised. QR code went to the regular Chase website that only listed the two lower cards. I searched Google but nothing is coming up there either, so this must be very new. Possibly an earlier than planned display?

Anyone heard about this new card? We've still got two more split up payments on our new direct contract so I'm curious to learn more and see if the expectedly higher annual fee could be offset with this current dvc purchase.

Whatever it is, there is not a lot out there:

Based on search results, there is no "Inspire Visa" product currently offered by
Chase Bank. The results indicate that "Visa Inspire" is an international debit card offered by CIB Bank and PBZ in Europe, not a U.S. product from Chase.
Hmm. The qr code went to the Chase website for their current two cards, so seems likely this is/will be a US based Chase card. Maybe there is a European card by a similar Visa Inspire name.

Someone at Epcot undoubtedly screwed up and released this early lol. There hasn't been a whiff of this in the credit card blogs/forums.
I was pretty excited to see it and not find anything about it. That's fun that we may have scooped the news. Dear Disboards, I will accept payment in the form of Mickey Bars, please and thank you!

As an avid player of the credit card game, I'd be very interested to see what the perks and benefits are. My guess, based on the current card offerings, is that it will have a higher annual fee, with something like 1.5% Disney Dollars on all purchases and 3% on Disney direct purchases. They'll probably give you more time or lower interest to pay for Disney purchases too.

Compared to other cards available, it will probably be underwhelming due to lower rewards and/or a higher annual fee than competitors. I'm guessing I'll stick with the free version and keep using Citi Double Cash for 2% back on all purchases and Chase Sapphire Reserve for 3-4% on dining and hotels. I'd love to be wrong and get a $600 bonus, but I doubt it will be worth it.

Hmm...if it's 3% back, I may consider it. We have the 2% back on Disney purchases ones now. We use it for basically all purchases that we can. Except when we purchase on Amazon, because we have the Amazon visa as well.

We don't have tons of credit cards like a lot of people do though. So adding this one wouldn't be a very big deal. We still have the old no-interest Disney one to but never use it now.

Exactly. Most of my spend at Disney is on dining, and I have either the CSR or the Amex Gold for those. I can turn those points into free flights to Disney. I have the free Disney Visa because they offered the $1000 off incentive when I bought my direct points.

Now if they moved to a recent %, above 2%, I'd be much more interested depending on the perks and annual fee.

Even if it's just a percentage more rewards, that would be nice since we're considering purchasing some direct points in the near-ish future. I'd take 3% back over 2% even with an increase in annual dues. I like having Disney rewards to spend on our trip on food/souvenirs. (I wonder if I can use them on TOT at VDH or not?) It's nice to have less out-of-pocket expenses during our travel.

Chase has been sending me surveys about my Disney rewards Visa non stop. I never open them, I bet they are gauging interest on the card. I guess I will go pull up one of those emails now.

I just want to add how funny I find it to be that it's black. I used to work for Amex and assisted the oh so exclusive Black centurion card holders!
