Picture???

Is there anywhere in a Disney resort that if i am walking by someplace that is very pretty that i am NOT ALLOWED to take a picture??

Have you ever asked at a resort if you are allowed to take a picture?

The only places where I have been told that you cannot take pictures are backstage areas that you get to see when taking a tour. The only other places are normally inside shows and some rides (where flash photography and externally lighted videos are prohibited). In terms of outdoor locations that you might walk by, I've not heard of any limitations/restrictions.

The only other place/time I can think that they might ask you not to take a photo or at least to avoid being intrusive is at someone's wedding.

They will tell you when you CAN'T take photos.

We did the Backstage magic and Yuletide Tour which took us behind the scenes a lot and they were very informative about when we couldn't take photos. As for anything within the resorts/parks -- I would say Disney seems to go out of their way to allow everything to be photographed as long as you aren't trying to sneek behind a door or catch a glimpse of behind the scenes action with your camera.

Again, just my experience!

Exactly that. My mom and I spent some time in the lobby of the GF, since we go around the holidays. We sat and listened to the piano music and looked at the tree.

What appeared to be an older couple (in wedding attire) blending two very large families, happened to emerge and the photographer was taking their photos in front of the tree.

I happened to have my camera placed beside me and the photographer very kindly asked me to wait to take any pictures until they were done.

A few minutes later, someone emerged from the other side of the tree and was taking pictures and they were also asked to wait until he was done.
