picture taking

Good question, I did a 7 day trip and used 20 rolls of 24 exposure.
I take a LOT of pictures. I switched to digital (good thing) lots less expensive. :)

yeah I would say Gail's 20 per 7 days is a good topside threshold... We went for 7 days and I think I went through 11 roles of film, two hours of video tape, and probably about 30 or 40 digital shots.

You are slouching, I did better than 500 shots (digital) the last trip. ;)

For nine days we took about 300 digital pics and about 5 hours of video.

On my first trip there, with my family, I took about 750 film pictures. That was an 8 day trip. On my next trip back, a solo, and all susequent visits back, all solo, I have had a digital. Never took any more film. I would say I average about 200 a day there now. Sometimes, 50, sometimes 300, but seems about 200 a day as an average. With 256 meg cards, its easy, and free, to take as many as you want. Many are duplicates, looking for a 'good one'. Enjoy.

8 days for me and I took about 400 pics , plus a video of Tink flying!!!

I ahve a 4 year old son, so I shoot lots of pictures. YES< DIGITAL IS A LIFE SAVER! Plus video.

On a 10 day trip it ranges from 100 to 350 pictures plus video.

If you have been to WDW before it may be less, if you haven't been it may be more.

You can always buy more film if needed.

In fact right now I am throwing a few extra media cards in for my digital cameras and camcorder, just in case.

Only a few more hours to go!!!!!

Although I'd like to take more, I usually take about 200 digital pictures on a 4 day trip. I'm usually taking scenic photographs though, as opposed to "family pictures".

We are just about to leave for 13 days and Im bringing 22 rolls of film plus our digital. My husband uses on and I use the other!

Ok I havr got to ask of all those that tak so many pics - I took like 11 rolls (24 to 36 shots per roll) and two hours of video... in 7 days

how in the world did you guys have time to take all of those pictures and still be "engaged" with the people you were with? I mean, I found myself having to tell myself to not take pictures and just njoy the moment....do any of you have that problem? where the taking pics kind of interferes with your "quality time" with the people you went with?

I was wondering the same thing myself. I'm planning to try not to take too many pictures...with the baby I know it will be hard! I want to enjoy being WITH my family, rather than seeing them through the camera lens. ;) (Generally I tend to take too many pics no matter where we go!)

My rule is one roll per day of 24 exp. then I throw in a three or four extra rolls just in case. You don't want to have to pay Disney prices for film. Make sure you carry your film in your carry-on and not checked luggage.

Wow, I thought I was bad taking 5 hours of tape and 300 digital pictures over the 4 weeks we were there last year. That's nothing compared to most of you guys.

we have used video, digital, throw away and SLR.... I've finally broken some of the picture habit and got down to about 20 a day. I noticed that my ofoto scrapbooks were very much the same only with taller kids.. (or course, that's worth a million pics right there.)

Im a bad judge but I have 4 scrapbooks of WDW from my year there..

Usually 10+ rolls go with me on vacation because well the film wont go bad if ya dont use it and you wont pay an arm and a leg if ya need it...

For my DL trip this month Ill be taking 8 rolls for 2 days...

Before we went digital, we took maybe 10 rolls of 35mm during a 7 or so day trip. We went digital for our Thanksgiving AKL trip. We took well over 1000 (yes, one thousand) pics. Luckily, we brought along a laptop to store them.

You really can not compare the number of photos you will take between film and digital. With digital, you try anything, because you know yoiu can delete it. With film, I think people are a bit more conservative.

Much more on 2nd trip...12 rolls and 1500 digital at least.

This trip is with friends who want doubles of everything so we will be bringing 2 rolls of film per day plus the digital...

I'm a photo FREAK!:earseek:
