Picture question

We're doing land and sea. I want to purchase pics, but I'm not sure whether or not to get pics from WDW or the pics from the cruise. If I can I'd buy bothe, but that's a lot of dinero!!! What would you do and why?

Sorry, we don't "do" photo packages any longer. We've finally reached the "if there's one photo that looks good, we'll buy it" stage.

Photopass in WDW is completely worth it. There are photographers everywhere, ride photos are included, and you can work on your photos online and add things like borders and other special touches if you like.

Shutters is not worth it IMO. Not as many photo moments with photographers ready, mostly the meets and studio style pictures. Borders are added and will NOT be removed unless someone is being Wazowski'd, so if you don't like the border then too bad. In the end you will pay much more per picture with a Shutters package vs Photopass and potentially be less happy with the results.

Personally we are not getting a package on our upcoming cruise. We will likely buy one or two photos, such as one taken during dress up night and maybe another. Other than that we all have our own cameras.

I agree that purchasing the WDW photo package is great if you are going to be there for a few days. We've done it twice. There are park photographers everywhere scattered throughout the park, and when you know you have the package you feel more relaxed about grabbing a few extra random pictures knowing that it is free. Plus, we always ask the photographers if they have any special magic photos that they take at that location. Usually they have one or two. (Examples: the photographer had my wife cradle her arms like she was holding a baby and the picture came back with Baby Simba lying in her arms. Another time they had my kids pointing down at the ground and Stitch ended up in the picture coming up through a crack in the road.)

With regards to the shutters package: We ended up buying 10 pictures last time on a 3 night cruise. My wife wants the unlimited package for our 7 night cruise next month. Knowing we are getting the package ahead of time will at least make me more open to grabbing a few more poses when do take pictures.
