Picture problems

I followed Lisa's directions through the uploading to the webpage. It tells me that the file is uploaded and shows up in the box. I click on it to get the address it only shows the box with the red x.

Can someone help me figure out what I am doing wrong?

ok figured the picture part out! Now, Can someone explain to me, in very detailed way, how to make it smaller?! I tend to be computer illiterate!
