Where is this please? It looks like a shop with the T-shirts hanging up at the back but there's such a lot of empty floor space it can't be. I'm puzzled. Please help.

This is my first POTD post! I am scared as you are all so talented!

I have lurked on this thread from the begining and although my photos that I will post for now are from Sept 06 I have been inspired by you all to take better pics in my upcoming trip in December.....but for now here is my first POTD, I choose this one as I love the faded moon in the sky.

I had a similar experience at AK- which is not usually open after dark except a mid week (Wednesday night IIRC) Extra Magic Hours. Finally I got a chance to be there for it last year and had maybe an hour after dark. Got rained on waiting to get a picture of Everest after dark and then guess what- they never turned the lights on.

Fortunately I had better luck this year.

Maybe it's just me, but I think I like the shot w/o lights more. I never really liked the purple-y lighting they use on Everest at night. Nice cap on the hanging corpse from HM... was that a lucky shot or just machine-gunning shots at the ceiling hoping one would catch the lightning?

Gdad - Jeff, your Master Gracey picture is one of the creepiest I've seen. I have this bizarre thing about people hanging (just can't stomach it) and in all my trips to the HM have never seen this. Because when everyone else looks, I squeeze my eyes shut tight. So thanks for that!!
