My favorite restaurant in AK ;)

Thanks Jud. You are correct, I have a DSLR, which I am afraid to take off of auto-mode.:rotfl: I'm working on it, though.

ROFLMAO! Literally! Funny- all the DSLR's are beign run on auto- and all the point and shoots are trying to emulate the DSLR's! Ya- that 'crossover market is the key!

Not so funny- Oly did just release THE awesome answer to all that, but!!! the video function sucks! Oye! I was even ready to go to $500 for it!

:)

I have so missed this thread! I have been sitting here browsing through all the pictures and it is so much fun to see them all!

I must get back to contributing as well.

Here is one for today.

Haven't posted on the POTD threads in a while, but have been lurking lately as we prep for our next trip in July.

Here one that's not spectacular in the sense that many on this thread are, but it's cool to me. It's a picture of our daughter (who graduates high school today), my lovely wife and our son (who is now in the Air Force, at Tech School). He'll be headed to Korea later this year, so pictures with the kids together are more special these days.

Jeff, is your son wearing a Point Pleasant Beach shirt? It's where I call home. And a great place to visit the Jersey Shore. We are proud to be Snooki-free!

He sure is. My wife was born and raised near there, in the Lakewood/Howell area.

PLEASE MORE TOT!!!

I love the ambience and architecture of the building and grounds. (Don't need the ride itself although I enjoyed the lobby and library shots.)

Maybe the overgrown walkway with dried up fountains leading up to the building?

The tile patio and arches or looking down from the patio before you enter the building?

The gift shop and/or the exit/waiting area outside. And looking up at the building from there.

Any would be greatly appreciated!

(BTW....curious where you are in UK? I'm an ex-pat Brit living in Canada, but grew up in Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire)

We have been living in North London now for 23+ years, but I was born in Guernsey (hence the Channel Islands last name). My wife was born in Brooklyn and spent a few years in Winnipeg before moving to UK.

We live just a couple of miles from St Pancras rail terminal. That's a thirty minute cab ride plus 2 hours 47 minutes by Eurostar high speed train and we are at the gates of DLP. Maybe we will do that once my wife recovers.
