Jud: where is this, please? Good job even with shooting into the sun.. That would blind us lesser mortals... :3dglasses

LOL! I had to fight for that one! That is the Team Disney Building and it sits across from DTD at one of the lights. Some famous architect did it- like many of the buildings on property- almost a museum of architecture the World is...

The tower is hollow and is in fact a huge sundial (maybe the biggest in the world?) with the top open and a gravel and stone courtyard at ground level with markers for the time.

I did an architecture tour with The Disney Institute back when it was first operating.

:)

Hey, maybe we were all on the same tour! :rotfl2: I did this also at the Institute. The building houses legal and accountants for WDW - the bean counters. Hence, the watch - time is money!

Huh! Guess us 'regulars' all jumped on that bandwagon! I did the Animation class in the morning, and the Architecture Tour in the afternoon. It was GREAT! Like the new Wild Africa Trek, nice to really do something at WDW! Interesting bit about the watch!

I just noticed and commented on FB, that the outside of the tower is a sun dial too! (As seen in my POTD today)

In any case, as a lover of building, nice to see something so 'out of the box'!

:)
