We celebrated early in June on our family trip to DW; today we celebrate our actual 50th wedding anniversary! My sweet husband walks in the back door with 50 carnations (my favorite cut flower) for 50 years of marriage!

....not ME!

It's AUGUST in TEXAS and we're soooooo tired of sweating ; we celebrate our first cool front! HOWEVER...when we're sitting out in 30 degree temperatures trying to watch a soccer or football game....welllll....we long for a little sunshine and warm temperatures! But, for now, we're done with it...enough is enough! ☀⛱🏖🏝🏜

ADDING A PS...at 5 in the evening it's currently 97 degrees with a heat index of 107 ... today is when I long for winter.

....not particularly a fan of carnations, but I have to admit, that bouquet IS very pretty!

Always loved carnations; my Grandmother used to have them in her flower garden. They were our wedding flowers selection and hold a special place in my heart. Arrangement is absolutely beautiful! The same florist we used for our wedding did this arrangement; gotta love "small town life". ☺

Fun end to our special day! We're not into the fancy restaurants so our daughters arranged dinner at one of our favorite Mexican restaurants...BFF, sister and niece joined us for a REALLY fun evening!
