Thanks Kathy! We lost cats in March and August last year and almost lost another in November, so it was time to add some more fun. It's been a breath of fresh air!

While we're struggling in the 97 degree heat here in Texas DD and son-in-law's family are off for a family vacation in Colorado. Their adventure today included returning from a hike after winter weather moved in with ice pellets and snow! Only "before the adventure" pictures...to busy keeping the car on the slick road to take photos DURING!

They're used to the weather changes being from Texas! But don't think they expected SNOW on their "summer vacation"! The "after" pictures came today....but...they went to the other side of the mountain and did water rafting!

I was going to ask about that! Do you know what river they were on? I LOVE whitewater rafting - did two 5 day trips one on the Arkansas River here in Colorado years ago. They look happy but busy!

Not as busy as a Disney trip and just about ready to start for home. I did not ask the river; will try to remember when they return. Haven't been able to call or text but did get a phone call earlier via Facebook. They did a 4 mile hike today that they thoroughly enjoyed but when not on "an adventure" they get easily bored. It's been fun but the "family togetherness" is "reaching their limit"! At least at DW you can go to different PARKS!

Four mile hike today to check out some of the smaller waterfalls in the area. Leaving tomorrow for Oklahoma and a night at the Windstar Casino before they come home. Kathy....they sure did enjoy your beautiful state!

Back in Texas and ate dinner at the World Famous Big Texas Steak Ranch (in Amarillo)....home of the biggest steak in Texas...72 oz.! Next stop is Oklahoma ....
