I'd forgotten about the upcoming game next week so DGD played her 3rd to last game today ...but we still missed it. Watched on the phone as she played 70 minutes for the first time since her injury. She scored a goal on a free kick but, sadly, it didn't count ...one of her teammates was in a wrong position that the ref SHOULD have corrected before the kick according to the NEW rule implemented this year.

PLAYOFF WEEK for this silly soccer team! Season was called last year before they had the opportunity to play in the playoffs; pretty excited to be "back on schedule" in 2021 but still saddened the Class of 2020 weren't able to have these extra games.

Only 1 more game to go for this shortened soccer season ; on the bright side...DGD will FINALLY get to come home for Easter break! It's been a disappointing season but for the first time since she went back after Christmas break she'll be back in Bellville....she misses her kitty! Three straight days of soccer for us; today's~high school playoff game Friday~and final road trip to her "college hometown" on Saturday.
