This picture doesn't do it justice (this is a scanned picture long before I had a digital camera), but it's all I have access to right now.

The thing sitting in my lap is a 5 lb chocolate Mickey head. You can't see the details of the face in this picture, but it was molded with pretty good facial outlines.

I don't think they do these any more in chocolate (I think they might still do rice crispies). This is from the spring of 99 - main street confectioners. I think it might have only cost $15 back then.

Wow. What an awesome job. I love those chocolate caramel bars. Those are my favorites! I just went and bought a bag of Rollos last night to get my caramel fix!

Snurk71’s post brought to mind the following treat suggestion: click here. What about a few Mickey Krispy Treats for your children, Triplefigs? Private Dining might carry those. It’s definitely worth looking into since those treats are usually a big hit with kids of all ages (like me).

You might also consider asking them if they can cut JELL-O into Mickey head shapes as was done for my Summerhouse click here. Kids love JELL-O, especially with a dollop of whipped cream on top.

#1hockeymom had a gorgeous cake delivered to her suite at the Animal Kingdom Lodge last year in honor of a special family milestone. I have a photo of that cake (taken by Nutz4dzny) in one of my on-line albums: click here. When Room Service delivered the cake, it was all I could do to contain myself (I wanted to pounce on it like a wild animal). It was one of the prettiest cakes that I had ever seen, and it was very appropriately themed to the Animal Kingdom Lodge.

For a Value or Moderate Resort, I think the best thing to do would be to contact the Disney Florist by telephone at (407)-827-3505. When you’re on the phone with them, give them your budget and an idea of what sort of gift you’re looking to purchase. They will work with you to come up with something suitable within your price range.

As to chocolate items, I know the Disney Florist has access to them. For example, currently on their website is the following gift basket:

For the chocolate lover who can never get enough, this gift basket is loaded with great tasting treats. Biscotti, cripsy squares, fine Malto Bella chocolate cookies, unique chocolate coins and delicious chocolate shortbread cookies are all displayed in our signature MICKEY MOUSE-shaped basket.

It sounds decedent, doesn’t it? But if that gift basket is too pricey for your liking, please contact them to see if it can be done on a smaller scale. They might be able to accommodate you, but you’ll never know unless you ask.

In the Disney Florist gift basket that Floridafam sent to my family, there was a large box of Disney character chocolates in it. You can see the box in the following photograph: click here. The box of chocolates is lying on the table next to the opened gift basket. The chocolates were tasty and didn’t last long in the presence of my family. By the way, when you look at that photograph, you should be able to see that the gift basket was in the shape of a Mickey Mouse head. I thought that was an adorable touch, as was the ribbon that was used.

Wow, it's amazing the things that can be done at Disney!

I wish DH liked chocolate so that if I ordered something like the champagne/flutes it wouldn't be so obviously just for me!

Now, DW might not be into chocolate. But she's definitely into cake (I am too - I love all kinds of goodies). Sticking with the GF treat theme, here are a couple of GF bakery cakes.

This is a "regular" two tier white cake with some kind of filling and butter cream icing. I thought the icing was a little heavy on the butter on light on the cream part.

This is a Mickey head cake. I thought the cake was better, and it was more Disney than the other one.

Can you tell we like to eat bad stuff?

Thank you for sharing those photos. I have had the regular looking cake before, but I have never had anything as fancy as that Mickey Mouse cake. I must say that just looking at it is making my stomach growl!
