Picture of Grand Floridian truffles box with picture?

Meezers, your punishment for beating me to the punch is that you're going to have to take lots of photos of the treats that you have ordered for your upcoming vacation and then share them with us. ;)

My family has experienced the tuxedo strawberries many times over the years, both the male and female versions.

OK, what is the difference between male and female strawberries? I feel silly asking, but really want to know! Also, I would love to order a chocolate Mickey and strawberries for my DH2B. Will they deliver them to Port Orleans and have themm waiting in the room for you?

I will be MORE than happy to take the pictures....but someone else will have to post them...cause that whole re-sizing and hosting thing is way over my head!

I THINK the tuxedo strawberries have dark and white chocolate that look the a shirt and jacket....and the "girl" strawberries have white chocolate and something that looks like pears.

I don't think they will deliver to other resorts....but they can be picked up at GF....I am sure J2K will be along shortly to correct any errors I have made! Did I tell you she is my hero?

LittleBlackRaincloud, yes, Meezers is correct (again!). The male version looks like a tuxedo shirt & jacket (dark & white chocolate), while the female version looks like a pretty blouse with pearl buttons & necklace (white & pale pink chocolate). Until I can find a photo of the ones Disney creates, this one will have to do: click here. I think that photo should give you a fairly good idea as to what the two versions look like.

The only company that normally can deliver to a resort room is the Disney Florist. Consider giving them a call to see if they have the chocolate Mickey and tuxedo strawberries on their list of gift items. If they do, see if they can deliver them directly to your resort room as opposed to having them waiting for you at the Front Desk. It is definitely worth a shot (and if they can't get it into your resort room, having it waiting at the Front Desk is still a lovely option).

(Note to Meezers: You crack me up! ;) )

J2K....was supposed to work from 1pm to 1am...guess what...working from 7pm to 7am....and then back at 3pm....guess I am getting a little goofy (or goofier)...I am starting to slur my speech on the radio....and either fall asleep or get a case of the giggles if I don't get up and walk around...gee...it is a 12x15 room....now with extra worn carpet.

Yep....I deserve this vacation.

PS...changed mind about the champagne thingie....thinking that chocolate box is just too pretty to pass up!

PS...and what is your excuse for being up at this horrible time in the morning...I can't wait to get home and get to bed!

Thanks for all the info everyone (and more great pics Janet2K!).

triplefigs - yes, I believe she is in SL concierge. I can't wait 'til she gets back to hear all about it :) Hope you have a wonderful time there and share your experience with us when you get back!

I was so excited yesterday also because I got to hear "have a grand day" at the end of my conversation with private dining! Yes, I'm a Disney geek - but that helped make my day!

Meezers, which chocolate box, the small one or the larger one?

(OT: Meezers, I was up late last night putting photos of GF Room 4401 into an on-line album -- finally. I should be sharing the link to the photos at some point today in the GF FAQ thread.)

LadyTrampScamp&Angel, do you think your sister-in-law will be taking photos of the castle chocolate box? I know everyone here would love to see what the new treat looks like.

I'll check with the florist.

LittleBlackRaincloud, if you find our anything, please let us know. It would be nice to know whether or not that is an option for those staying in the Moderate & Value Resorts.

Drum roll please!

After looking at the beautiful pictures posted by the Grand Floridian Goddess....aka Janet2K...

I have decided on the small chocolate box. My greed wanted the large box but I really like the cover art on the small box. Since this will be the day before we drive home I plan on bringing the box back and sharing the edible box with a co-worker who will be helping cover my shifts while I am away.

I can't believe artisitic integrity won out over chocolate greed!

I think I may end up ordering the large box of chocolates or the chocolate champagne flutes. Is there something "kiddy" that I could get for my triplets? Would they do the dirt bowls for just 3? Any ideas?

Thanks!
Denise

Hello Neighbor Triplefigs!

J2K...don't read the following: I think the small box is $35...

Okay J2K...now you can read! The new menu comes out in a couple of weeks but as I understand it...these nice little things we are ordering are called "amenities" and aren't even on the menu. Trip...I would call Private Dining....talk with Caroline, Jodi or Marcy...so you don't get that nasty whatever you want to call her that I did earlier. Ask what they have and I am sure they will be able to go over the options with you! If you get a woman who sounds very gruff and mannish...just say....sorry ....wrong number and hang up!

Let me know.

PS....ref the other thing....sounds like time for bran muffins...or when my brother was little...he loved the baby food that was prunes mixed with tapioca....he thought it was like little pudding cups!

It wasn't a box made of chocolate at all but chocolates arranged on a dish with the castle on it. How did that happen? :) Still Steph said they were delicious and she was very happy so it's all good. She did send a picture and here it is!

So now I don't know how much $ the small Grand Floridian Chocolate Box is but this was $35!

She's having an awesome time BTW and will have pics when she gets back!

Do any of you know if the AKL does this sort of thing?

Thank You

That is the plate of truffles I got for Mom for Saturday!

So...I guess we don't know how much the chocolate box is...don't want to call cause I don't want to have a heart attack!

The plate of truffles looks scrummy doesn't it?!

I am down to 111 days!
