Picture menus

Hi all! :)

Does anyone know if any of the restaurants on WDW property have picture menus? My DS (17-ASD) has extremely limited expressive language, and before each trip I spend alot of time looking at the menus for the places we have ADR's, and then trying to find pictures of the dishes I think he'd like so that he may have some choice instead of me just picking it out for him. I print out a pic and laminate it for his PECS board that we usually take with us. I'm thinking for the next trip, I should be able to load and categorize the pics on his ipad, but man - it would be SO much easier if even one of the restaurants had a picture menu available!
Of course, he's not a picky eater like so many other ASD kids (my DD, for instance!). He's a pretty adventurous gourmet! However, some of the restaurants have a presentation that is a little different from the norm. For example, I thought we might have trouble when his chicken pot pie came out at 50's Primetime Cafe with puff pastry instead of a traditional crust, but thankfully he dug right in :). For that reason though, I try to find pics of the actual dishes from the restaurant, which isn't always easy.
Any insight/ input/ suggestions would be most welcome!

I don't know if they have picture menus but a lot of people in the restaurant board and the trip report board take pictures of their food before eating it. Could that help? I'm sure if you contacted a person they would send you the pictures electronically.
Good luck

Thanks Deegack :thumbsup2 I started trying to take pics of everything we ate on our last 2 trips too. I think even uploading them to his ipad and being able to take just that (he uses it for communication now too - no more bulky dynavox!!) will help.

OMG just checked out the food pictures forum and it's AWESOME! Thanks so much!

This reminds me of a story about my nephew who has Aspergers and a trip to a Mexican restaurant when he and and his mom came to visit us.

He chose something that had a picture (doesn't need pictures though because he is very verbal). When his food came, it was the correct food, but didn't look like the picture. Because it didn't look quite the same, he took the next 10 minutes to cut it up into, basically confetti, before he could eat it.
Once it didnt look anything like the picture, he could eat it.

Hahahaha!! I never thought of that! I could totally see that happening with my DD! "The best-laid plans of mice and men...", lol!!
