I've never done hyacinths in a pot. When do you plant them to get them to bloom in the spring? Do you dig them up? I have hyacinths in a small round garden that also has perennials and there is a really ugly period while the hyacinths die back and the others are coming up.

Other than the heat we've really enjoyed getting outside and planting this season.

Haha! Actually, no telescopic lens. I stood about a foot away snapping shots of the bee with DH behind me going "Bzzzz! Bzzzzz!" and poking me in the side. Men!

The hyacinths in the pot were last years flowers and seems like I bought them in a pot and just transferred them to a bigger pot before they really bloomed. I planted some more hyacinth bulbs last fall in my bulb bed. They did okay, but aren't as pretty for some reason. They are going through their ugly period right now.
