The character connection was in the spot behind the Fountainview cafe, but it was not heavily advertised, very simple decorations. We caught Chip and Dale out in the hallway, there was nobody else around, and they played with my boys for several minutes. the picture is fuzzy cause I had taken their pic, and put the camera down, and then just grabbed it back up.

The new Character spot is waaaaaaaaaaay more crowded, no chance to play around like this.

That's because the old one had the windows blocked up. No one knew the characters were in there. Now, with the windows unblocked, anyone can look in and see that they are in there. I do wish it had not changed.

I don't know if this still applies since the windows are clearer, but we headed to the CC first thing last January before Soarin when the park opened and there were no lines - plus great interaction, since the characters have just started their day and are all perky. Chip and Dale kept stealing each others' bow ties and Goofy got us all lined up for the Photopass photographer before standing in front and taking up the whole picture.

Since it reopened, that is probably the best time to go there- at opening. Otherwise, the lines can get extremely long.

The pics on here are great. I had two other great experiences last year - one where Jafar tried to run off with me, twice...and one where Captain Jack tried to steal my Pirates watch...but none of my party managed to get a photo of either event :-( I love it when the characters play!

This one is a series, but it was very cute.

First we were at Liberty Tree Tavern and DD was wearing a Dale hat that she purchased. Dale was very excited to see it...

He pointed it out to Chip who was off to the right.

Who then became very sad that there wasn't a Chip hat.

Dale then went over to console him and show him how much he's appreciated anyway.

This little interaction really made the kids' day. It doesn't hurt that Chip and Dale are two of our favorites (just behind Donald, of course).

Sully kept playing with my veil on my headband and putting it over his face and wouldnt turn to look at the camera and poor mike couldnt control his arms and kept smacking my DH with them. january 2007. i was like "just turn around so we cna take the picture!"

My husband and I went and ate at Garden Grill last March and were having great interactions with the characters since it really wasn't crowded at all.

I collect autographs and Pluto came around and started flipping through my book. I have my address in the front and he started pointing REALLY excitedly to our city! I asked him if he knew where we lived and he nodded very quickly, we figured out he "had been there"!

He kept coming around and dancing for us, sitting down at our table and finally we got these pictures...

We loved every minute of that lunch and now go back every time we go!
