Hi all, I am in the planning stage of our christmas '06 vacation. My family is sort of (alot) picky. My husband is a meat and potatoes kind of guy, who doesn't venture far from the traditional american meals.

Can you give me some ideas for table service restaurants?

Last trip we used vouchers for counter service that we purchased on Ebay. I absolutely loved them. This is why we went with the dining plan. I loved being able to have a dessert or the most expensive meal and not have to feel guilty about the cost.

I hope that with your help, I can add some great table service experiences this next time. Thanks!!!

MK: Liberty Tree Tavern, Crystal Palace, CRT

Epcot: LeCellier, Rose and Crown

MGM: 50's Prime Time, Sci Fi

Resorts: Yachtsman Steakhouse, Yacht Club Galley, Grand Floridian Cafe, Concourse Steakhouse, Beaches and Cream, ESPN Club, Big River Grill, Chef Mickey's, 1900 Park Faire

breakfast: Cape May, Spoodles, Boma, Kona Cafe (in addition to those above serving breakfast)

if you like seafood - Cape May, Flying Fish, Coral Reef

I think Sci-Fi Dine In in MGM is alot of fun and if you like really good burgers and onion rings you can't go wrong :) The Concourse Steakhouse at the CR may be a good option. And there's one of my personal favorites...'Ohanas :lovestruc A carnivores paradise :thumbsup2

Thank you both!!!! I wouldn't have thought of some of these restaurants on my own. :)

Subscribing because I too have this question. I actually posted it a few weeks ago and got some of the same answers. I'm not sure about LeCellier, I looked at the menu on AllEarsNet and it doesn't sound like a place for picky eaters can anyone explain? Thanks!!

I am perhaps the pickiest eater on the planet. I love Le Cellier. They have the best steaks, the cheese soup is phenomenal and the breadsticks are awesome. I've also had great burgers from there. Canada and Italy are the only places I will eat in the World Showcase (except for breakfast with the Princesses in Norway!)

p2oh--- Hi Neighbor!!! :wave2:

Thanks for the reply. I didn't even know they had burgers at LeCellier. We may have to give it a try!!

I agree with all your suggestions, but I wanted the OP to know that Cape May, Flying Fish, and Coral Reef all serve some type of steak/beef/filet too. DH doesn't care for seafood and always gets some type of beef at these places!

Thanks for all your help. I have some great ideas. I am so excited and you all have helped to make our trip even better. Can't wait for it to come.

You can check out each restaurant's menu on allears.net. That's how I picked menus I thought my picky Dh would like! We're going to Yachtsman, Le Cellier, Cape May Cafe, Alfredo's, Liberty Tree, and O'Hana. No Boma for my picky DH!

We went on the Premium plan and my DH is a straight meat & potato type of guy - no sauces, etc... I was really nervous about trying to come up with ones he would like (I'm fairly picky too but not as bad as him - so is my DD, so it's always fun).

One thing I learned from here was that you can ask for the steak without sauces! I learned the hard way that's the best thing to do if you like them plain. Our first night we went to Concourse Steakhouse - I forgot to ask for mine without sauce and it had a zing to it that I didn't particularly care for.
We ate there several more times, I always remembered after that and it was fine.

We ate at Sci-Fi; Yachtsman Steakhouse; Fultons (even though it's a seafood place, NONE of us got seafood - the steaks were good); Concourse Steakhouse; Tony's (which I know gets bad reviews here but we thought it was fine); Rainforest Cafe; Chef Mickey's; Liberty Tree Tavern.

We had Le Cellier planned but ended up cancelling it.

I'm trying to think - I know we did lots of breakfast buffets too but breakfast is an easy one since that part DH is not picky about (just my DD doesn't hardly eat anything - didn't eat anything at Cinderella's breakfast but did at Crystal Palace).

That's all I can think of at the moment but it was actually ended up being not as horrible as I thought trying to find something basic. My one son ate Mac & Cheese at just about every meal if it was on the menu! :rotfl2:
