Anyone out there know how to make pickles?? I have a hankering for homemade pickles. (and no, I am not pregnant )

What kind of pickles? My mom used to make both dill and a bread and butter pickle. I can look for the receipe if you want.

pint of vinegar
pint of water
1/4 cup course salt or pickling salt
boil and pour into jars that already are your little pickling cukes....push them in as many as you can fit
.put in a few sprigs of fresh dill and six cloves of garlic per jar.......

seal and put away for two or three weeks.....

these are the best.....the longer they sit they better the garlic is
