YES!!!! I am sooo excited! Just booked a couple of weeks ago. Going on a 4 night cruise on the Dream for my 40th! I will have a "pickle" for us once room rates come out...which resort for the night before???

Wow, congrats girl! I am too chicken for a cruise. Would freak out being surrounded by all that water and no where to go. Cass and I are staying at AKV Jambo for three nights and then headed over to our beloved CBR for free dining for 6 nights. Then I am home for 10 days and leave again (had a flight credit I had to use and loved my trip last year) so staying the first two nights at AKV Jambo and 6 nights at OKW while Kathy and Mark will be there. I get to meet another pickle! Oh and will be meeting up with Janet in August, too. How cool is that?

I love the water, so no fears at all on the cruise (well, you couldn't pay me to go on a cruise during hurricaine season, but still....) I can see how it would be scary if you don't like water. Me, I could swim before I could walk, so....

I am jealous...17 nights in Disney in the same month!!!!

Getting pretty excited although my trip with Cassidie is going to be hard on me because Mark isn't going and she can get a bit wild at time if she doesn't get her way. READ: wants to be in the pool all.of.the.time.and.will.not.go.by.herself. Ugh. So I'll be in the pool a lot instead of reading a book or tanning. Stinks, man. Plus she'll complain about the walking. I only have so much patience and then I walk away and Mark takes over. I won't have that. So kidlet is going to be in for a surprise with mean ol mommy in charge. heh

LOL! Fortunately, my kids are really good in Disney. Sometimes I feel like that is the ONLY time they are good, but I'll take whatever Disney Magic I can get. I was laughing, cause we were in the Disney outlet yesterday, and a CM commented on how sweet they were being to each other. She laughed when I told her it had to be the Pixie Dust they were spraying through the vents...they were getting on my last nerve 5 min before.

Fortunately mine are perfectly content swimming without me in there too, so I can sit and read a book (or chat with a Pickle who happened to be down when we were)

Okay, all caught up (took about 2 mins!)

I was lucky with my kids too - actually, they were pretty easy at home and Disney...until the summer Toby was 13 1/2 and every pre-teen and teen thought he was God's gift to THEM!!

Disney was always (still is) magical..

hey, I have a pickle!! Trace invited me spend a few days with her in Sept, and while I absolutely LOVE the theme of OKW I've two concerns:

1. Bedbugs!!!!! OKW is one of the Disney resorts with the most confirmed BB incidents (CBR, AS and CR as well...every resort has/have bedbugs but knowing OKW has more than most terrifies me).

2. It's going to be hotter than Hades, which can do a job on my MS...and OKW does not have a central lobby, which really helps me a lot in the heat.

What to do??? I have a SW tkt that must be used by Sept 28th...

So....I really want to finally do a Disney trip with Tracy, but what a Pickle!!

Yes, you indeed are in a pickle. My honest opinion is, if the heat is going to affect your MS and bedbugs terrify you, it's probably best to pass on the offer. I am sure we will get to meet another time. Janet may tell you I am insane and to stay far away fro me anyways! LOL!!!

Heard there are storms headed your way. Stay safe! I am so sick of rain! And guess what it's doing today? Sigh...

Hmmm....that is a Pickle. I'd hate to waste a ticket. That would probably convince me to go. The Bed Bugs wouldn't deter me very much....they can be ANYWHERE and I always check right away before I even put a bag on the bed.

Oh yeah, meant to comment when you both mentioned that your kids were well behaved and I am sure they were because they had each other to play with. Cassie is by herself with just me. Boring old mom. BIG difference. She is also ADD with anxiety issues and is very shy. I could be doomed, man!!!

Ducks swimming by your places yet? Pretty sure I just saw a couple of canoes. LOL

Oh, and Christine. Now you really have a pickle because you have two different opinions.

Happy Tuesday! They were saying the storm was coming our way, but now they are not so sure. It can stay away with all the tornado watches/warnings and lightening - we get enough of that all summer. NC is #1 for lightening in the south (yep, more than FL) and #1 for night time tornado deaths in the U.S.

Thanks for the input about the trip - I am still torn. Heck, a chance to enjoy some time with a Pickle. ...but am leaning toward giving up.

What day in December? My Toby is a December baby too - the 9th.

No matter where I go I worry about BB's...and do not sleep well the first couple of nights...can't help it, I'm obsessed! I never put anything on a bed at all, check mattresses, box springs, head boards, drawers...and only use the closet and luggage rack. This takes away some of the fun for me because I lovew to unpack at Disney and feel like I've settled in for awhile - even if it's 3 ngts. Those days are gone ....at least for now.

It is true we can pick up the critters anywhere these days, but we are super careful! Any new clothing goes into the dryer before wearing it or taking it upstairs. If we go on a trip, luggage stays in the garage until we can wash it. It is such a pain and very costly to rid a home of the things, we'd rather be as careful as possible.

I HATE to lose that darn SW tkt! I would not likely suffer for months from the MS, but it would not be a lot of fun for me there if it's too hot - and Sept is one of the hottest months in central FL.

Ohmygosh...waking up thinking it's a Friday on a Tuesday!! Not fun at all!

Oh my gosh, Trace, I didn't mean anything negative about Cassidie when saying my kids got along, were good at Disney etc. I am so sorry if it came across that way because it never ocurred to me at all. I was just chatting about kids and I felt lucky mine were close.

I was an only child with a mother who did not understand kids in any way...and she and my dad were very close...and I was extremely shy - still am. I do understand.

I always went to Disney alone, being a single parent, but made sure each of my kids had a friend along - that was so it would be more fun for both of them. Our last family trip to WDW was when they were 12 & 13 - they told me they were "Mickey'd out", but we did go to DL a few more times..that last trip as a family was when Toby was 13...and there was some young girls convention at the hotel...we would get phone calls all night asking "Is this the room with the two cute guys"!!! I always said, no, sorry, wrong room.

Even for the DL trips we brought a friend for each of them...and my only niece one trip as well. Fun trips for me...one adult and 4 or 5 kids EVERY trip.

Any chance you could bring a friend for Cassie? A cousin?

I didn't take it negatively. Was just explaining that she is alone and doesn't have a brother or sister to hang out with. That's all. Sometimes when she gets bored, the crankbox starts up and my patience goes to pot. No chance of me bringing anyone else along. We are lucky to still be going at all, just the two of us.

Not two options, two opinions on whether you should come down for a few days. Skimmer!!!! Just teasing.

Oh trust me, there are many times I am pulling my hair out with my 2. With One being a girl and one a boy, the age difference, AND Chris's ADHD, I am suprised I have survived. But for some reason, Disney Magic just works

So far so good on the rains/flooding here...Looks like it will stay much farther south.

Chris was born Dec. 19. He was my Christmas present that year....wasn't due till Jan 6.

Yeah..I wash everything wether it was worn or not as soon as we get home too. I also wash anything new right away too. Brian always used to think I was crazy until we bought new sheets, opened them up, nad there was a dead cockroach in there. Now he "gets it"

LOL! I love that! Nope, Wrong room. I am nervous about that with Chris on the cruise. He can sign himself in and out of the teen club, and basically go anywhere he wants, whenever he wants. We have already discussed that he is not to go in anyone's room, bring anyone into our room, etc......Guess we will have to see how that goes.

Happy hump day. I am off to the doctor today to see about adjusting meds and getting me some sleep as this has become ridiculous. Two and three hours a night has just about made me ready for the funny farm. I then have a therapeutic massage at 1:30 for neck and shoulder pain for anxiety/tension. I am so tired of hurting. Can't wait. It will be my second one and I have coverage for two more. Then $80 out of pocket for me, which stinks, but i need it.

Been a bit depressed lately. The weather does not help, that's for sure. No summer here! It's crazy the rain that we've had.

I am anxiously awaiting being able to book air for our cruise. Because we need more specific times, I am on pins and needles. Airtan and Southwest should release fares in July. I hope it's July1 cause I won't sleep well until it's booked. Then we can wait for 2013 room rates and solve my resort Pickle.

I texted Janet the other day to let her know we are "Pickling" again Hopefuly she will be around soon!
