Pickle part III

Good for you!! I try to but can’t seem to sleep past 8:00 am or so.
Tonight it’s Basket Bingo … tomorrow some cleaning (unfortunately:sad2:) but on Sunday afternoon Heather and I will be having a Mom’s day out. Yeah! :woohoo::woohoo:

Can’t wait!! Just wish all the pickles could be with us:)

Hey, my Pickle friends!

Well, tomorrow is surgery day! Now that it is almost here I am glad and ready to get it over with at last. Know I will be nervous in the morning, but will be okay. Mia is going to text Janet after the surgery and she will let you all know I am doing well. :thumbsup2

Thanks so much for all your love and support - it means the world when going through something like this.:grouphug:

Hi Pickles
Just got a VM from Mia -- she stated that the laparscopic surgery went well :thumbsup2 Christine should be moving to an overnight room shortly, and then Mia will be able to see her. And, Christine can come home tomorrow.

So, very good news.

Yes~! I saw this on Facebook and I'm glad things went well. Thanks for coming here to post!

Ok. So now I'm freaking out. What is with this latest FB update from Barbara about finding something "unexpected" and waiting until Friday for results?! Why say anything? :sad2:

Dear Pickles-
I just got off the phone with Christine - I can't believe that she actually called me - she was still very groggy from the anesthesia. We now have more info and it isn't good. Christine does have uterine cancer, 50% thru the uterine wall. After finding this out, the doctors removed the lymph nodes. Christine won't know more until Friday, after the doctors perform additional tests. I'm stunned, so is Mia and Christine. From both the reg. GYN and the oncologist, I don't believe they expected these results. She asked that I reach out to her dear friends and share this news with you all. She also wants us to keep her in our thoughts and prayers. Friday will bring some answers and probably more questions and - hopefully some better news that the cancer has not spread.

Janet

My heart just sank. I...don't know what to say. I'm stunned. Janet, thank you for explaining this more. I am terrified for her and them. :( I just can't believe this. I'll will do some heavy praying. I just don't know what to say... :sad1:

:grouphug:

I know Tracy - that's how I feel too. Christine sent me a text - she had a long night, but is doing okay. She now has better pain control (can you believe last night she was not on a pain drip??? Just percoset).

This isn't fair. I am so damn angry right now. Why does stuff like this happen to good people???? I'm glad somebody got a clue this morning and gave her sufficient pain meds. Please let her know how much she is loved and that we are all praying for her.

Christine has her IV out, catheter out, and will be going home today ...now she just has to walk and use the bathroom facilities before she allowed to leave.

:)

Thanks for all of the Updates, Janet.

{{{{{{Christine}}}}}} We are all praying for you and we love you.:grouphug:

Oh, Janet. I am just in total shock in reading this. I was so sure all would be okay. I am just speechless. If you talk to Christine again, please give her our love and tell her that we are praying every minute for her.

I've been a mess all morning - for several reasons. My head is about to explode from the crying headache. I am so upset and worried for her and dear Mia. So helpless right now. I wish I didn't live so far away.

Thanks for all of the Updates, Janet.

Always good to talk to you Heather, only this time wish it didn't have to be with this news.

Kathy - Already did

I know how difficult it is Tracy  I too feel helpless and worried for them as well. Poor Mia, getting this news about the cancer -- told very bluntly by the Doctor -- AND she was alone.

Hi everyone,
I already let Christine know that we were all thinking and praying for her and that we would be there for her.

She called me on my way into work … and sounded much better today. She’s strong, and determined to deal with whatever is found out – which is why she wanted you all to know exactly what is going on. At times like, having friends and family to help you thru it makes all the difference.

Hi Pickles

I spoke with Christine about an hour ago. She is home and curled up in bed with her laptop checking out the Vera Bradley site. That's our Christine. Mia was bringing in something for her to eat and drink. Mandarins and whipped cream. She wanted me to let you know that she is feeling fine, tired, but otherwise doing well. She appreciates the outpouring of love and support from her friends. It means the world to her. Her spirits are high and she is taking one step at a time. It was such a relief to hear her voice. A calm came over me... until she made me cry!!! She sounded wonderful. Being home in her own bed makes a world of difference. I am so happy she is home.

Keep those positive thoughts and prayers going. I know they are working.
