Pickle part III

It's okay. Laugh all you want. :) I just went down and it came off AGAIN. I'm gonna crazy glue that sucker.

Good morning. I don't think you killed the thread. I know I've had a very busy week at work...it's been nonstop. I'll be so glad when the weekend gets here.

We are going to a Candlelight Bowl on Saturday night. Oldest son, Andy, has one every year for his baseball team to raise money to help pay for tournaments, etc. It's always a fun time. Markie's been home but is leaving today to go to Rockford (about 90 miles from us) to coach the little kids in the Individual State Championship and then will go back to Dubuque from there on Sunday; he comes home again next Friday to meet with the doctor to decide what type of surgery he needs. Always something.

Hope you and all my other Pickles have a great day.
You have been busy!!!
Work has been very stressful here, and the week is DRAGGING!
Hi everyone. Sorry I've been AWOL. I've been busy with my workout, diet and have been researching a lot of recipes and stuff. And, I've been plain old exhausted. 2010 is the year for many changes in my life. I always said I will never be fat at 40. Well, I've got 6 months left before I hit 41. I WILL achieve my goal. My mind is set. Watch out world! I'll be anxious to weigh in on Monday. I've been trying to decide if I want to work out 7 days a week or take one day off and just use the treadmill. We'll see how I feel come Sunday. Last night, I made the most awesome stir fry. I could eat it every day of the week. :)

I hope everyone is well and enjoying the spring weather. We are finally starting to warm up and the snow is melting. We still have a good foot left though. Blech.

I need to scrub my floors, but I don't think I can move my arms. LOL Any takers? :teeth:
Way to go!!!
I'm glad it's starting to get warmer....I need to get outside and walk to get in shape for the cruise. I don't have the self-discipline to stick to a diet though.
Happy Thursday, everyone!

I'm still not getting updates so no idea anyone has been posting...therefore Heather is not a thread killer!! Maybe a notification killer though? :rotfl2:

We had 2 wonderfully nice days, today it is a high of 59 and so foggy (guess it comes from the mountains since we are no where near the ocean).

Trac, you are one motivated woman! Good for you.:cheer2:

Have a great Thursday, everyone!!:goodvibes
Happy Thursday!!!!
Can't wait till Friday!!!
I am so proud of you! I really should start doing something...but I figure I'm 52 so who the hell cares. Mark's sight is going so he don't really care what i look like. :rotfl2:

And, NO....I don't do my own floors unless I have to. :scared1:
:lmao::rotfl::rotfl2:
I love it!!!

I missed you Pickles!!!:grouphug:

Aw. I missed you all too. Life gets in the way sometimes - that could be a good thing or a bad thing. Some days I could talk and talk and talk. Others, I just don't feel like talking or have nothing to say. Imagine! I'm sure you all feel the same. And that's okay. :grouphug:

Give us an update when you get a chance.

Yep. TGIF. Mark took the day off and then went out with one of the guys he works with. LOL He has to work this weekend doing first aid and CPR training. He's not happy... can't say I blame him.

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

This has been the busiest week I can remember at the office...it's been nonstop. I'm so glad it is Friday and the weekend...although not looking forward to changing the clocks and losing an hour of sleep.

Kelly, please let us know how things are going.

Heather, Janet, Tracy (you exercise machine you), Christine and Kari, have a great weekend.

:grouphug:

Good Morning, Pickles! Hope it's a nice Saturday so far. :)

It's laundry, bed changing and haircut (thank goodness) day for me. Would LOVE to get my eyebrows wax and a manicure but do not see where the time is for that to happen. Both are very much needed - geesh, the eyebrows have practically grown together!! So over due!! I have an app't every 6 weeks, but the salon never called and I didn't write it down expecting they would call a reminder as always. Once these bangs get cut, I am going to look weird and fuzzy. :rotfl2:

Enjoy the day, my friends. :thumbsup2

Kelly, so good to read Emily was feeling a bit better yesterday - hope today is a good one for her too.

Happy Saturday, Pickles!!!

Just got back from Martina's Gymnastics. We are going to my In-laws later. Wish I could get a nap!!!

Have a great weekend, everyone!

Telly, I'm glad Emily is feeling a little better...hope that continues.

Hi, Pickles. Hope everyone has a great weekend. I'm waiting to hear from my doctor -- I think I have a bladder infection. :sad2: We're supposed to go bowling tonight with Andy's baseball team for their fundraiser...we'll have to see how I feel later.

Wow, we've sure been quiet - last post was March 13th!

Heather, glad you brought us back to life!

How is everyone doing? Kathy, feeling any better? Is Andy's surgery scheduled yet?

Kelly, Emily is in my thoughts and prayer everyday - how is she doing today?

Tracy, is Cassie feeling better? Back to school yet?

Janet, how's the YB coming along? From what I've seen it is going to be fabulous this year!

Kari, have you been able to catch your breath yet? Hope my card reached you okay. We are still enjoying the GS Cookies -thanks again!

Hope it is a nice first week of Spring. Most everything is blooming here now - soo pretty!

:grouphug:Hi Pickles!!!
Busy busy week here!
I miss you guys!

Good morning, miss you guys too.

Andy isn't having the surgery, Markie is. We are waiting to see whether insurance will pay for it "onsite" or if he has to go to the hospital; Mark is scheduled to go to the doctor on April 8 to discuss surgery on his upper back as he still has a lot of pain. My bladder infection was gone after four days--thank God. Unfortunately, the news is not as good for my brother. After getting a great report from the lung doctor and being told he had lost 101 pounds on Monday, he went to the heart doctor yesterday and the news was not so good. They told him if they compared his heart to a six-cylinder engine, he is down to one cylinder. There isn't much they can do; they are going to do a scope, but basically medication is about his only option fo rnow. He is very down in the dumps, as am I.

I hope all of the other Pickles are doing well...and I'll try to stay in touch more.

How did I get that confused? I know it's Markie...shall we chalk it up to old age brain freeze?:confused3
Glad the bladder infection went away quickly.
Your brother lost 101 lbs and they say it didn't help much? What a downer for him..poor guy. I am so sorry.
My gosh, you have so much going on - the stress must be astronomical at times.
Do keep us posted when time permits.:grouphug:

Hrm... I've been in a daze lately so don't mind me. I'm very sorry to hear of everyone's troubles and pray that things improve. Yes, Christine, Cassidie is better and back to school although they have none today due to teacher workshops.

I've got something next to my left eyebrow that has me freaking out. At first I thought it was a dry skin patch so put cream on it and that did nothing. I had some cortisone cream here for a rash that was on my ankles a few months ago so tried that. Nothing. It is now getting more red and itches a bit and is starting to raise. I am freaking out of course, thinking the worst. I need to get to the doctor. If I need a biopsy I can't have anesthetics due to a medication interaction. That's what is flipping me out the most. Sigh. Not much going on other than that. Still doing my boot camp and following a relatively heathy diet. Haven't lost a pound and doesn't feel like I've lost any inches either. Pretty discouraged but will not give up.

I think of every one often but don't come here much. I'll make more of an effort.

Well, we settled the dates for our trip to Marco Island (got the condo again for as long as we want it). We picked the dates of September 17 - 28. We aren't planning on Disney as of now. IF, and that is a BIG IF, we get a tax refund, we might do like last year and spend four days at Disney. So, just in case that miracle happens, I made ADR's today. I made Crystal Palace for an 8:05 a.m. breakfast and Plaza lunch on what would be our last day. I also made Yak & Yeti for lunch one day as Mark and I really enjoyed this when we ate there in 2008 and we made Boma because we fell in love with this breakfast last September. I asked Mark to pick one restaurant at Epcot and NOT LeCellier--I said we needed a break from there. He picked Coral Reef; we've not been there in over 10 or 12 years and he wants to see the "fishies".

Hope all of my Pickles had a good week and have a good weekend.

xoxo

Hi Pickles!!!
I missed some stuff...sorry....I didn't see this show up in my user cp???

It has been a busy, busy week at work...end of the month for us, so I was swamped....VERY glad the weekend is here.

I'm supposed to be cleaning, but you all can tell how far I'm getting with that.:lmao::lmao:

Our cruise is 3 months from today, and I'm SO EXCITED!!!!!

I need a vacation SO bad, and this should be a VERY relaxing one! As much as I LOVE Disney, I come home exhausted. Plus, it will be nice to get away without the kids. Brian and I really need that, so we aren't looking at each other in 10 years when the kids are gone and say "Who are you?:confused3"

Hey, everyone!

What happened to us...life sure gets in the way of Pickle fun!

Kathy, what great news about the condo...sure hope you get to Disney. For some reason thought you were going to do a long weekend in November with friends? Maybe I am dreaming again...won't be the first time, definitely not the last.

Will be thinking of Mark tomorrow and holding him near in prayer. Do keep us posted when possible?

Have a blessed Easter, dear friends. We are going to try hiding a few little grassy things - you know with a plastic egg and candy - for Sophia to find....and her first real Easter basket - the Easter Bunny is going to be very good to my angel baby this year! Mia is really looking forward to next yr and coloring eggs with her.

Life is good. :goodvibes

Hi Pickles!!!

Kathy, let us know how the surgery went! We are all praying.

I hope you all have a very Happy Easter! We are having family over...excited that it is supposed to be very warm!!!

Surgery was a success. There was no major damage. Some scraping needed to be done and his kneecap readjusted because it was off whack (and this was probably why he was having so much pain...it was rubbing where it shouldn't). Two days on crutches and pain meds and then four weeks rehab. He sees the doctor when school is out around May 6. After that, we'll do an MRI on the ankle and see if that healed itself or if he needs surgery on the ankle.

Thanks for all the warm thoughts. I'll write more later in response to everyone...have to go pick up the pain meds now.
