Pickle part III

Meh, can't buy anything anyways. Says you need to have a credit card tied to your Paypal account. And we don't do credit cards. Not meant to be! :thumbsup2

Funny thing is, I never look at that site or buy anything. Not much into Mickey T-shirts (f you saw me in a T-shirt you'd understand :sad2:), hats or even stuff for the house.

I prefer to buy at a park, especially MGM. I love that store on the weird, odd shaped corner (of course, cannot think of the name this moment). I have found a nice sweatshirt there a couple of times. :thumbsup2

I *USED* to get quite a bit off the Disney shopping site...they used to have a lot more sales. Lately, the prices haven't been that great. Plus, Kohl's carries a lot if Disney stuff now, and they have great sales.

Speaking of gift cards, I still have that Southwest credit that expires in June. If any of my Pickles can use it, let me know.

Tracy, how do you book vacations w/o a credit card? I don't like to use mine for regular stuff, but do use it for hotels, airfare and online shopping.

We cut em all up last year. :) Like you, we'll have one for hotels, car rentals, or vacations. Other than that, if I don't have cash for it then I don't need it! ;) Mark's job loss was a big kick in the pants for us. :sad2:

...sweet dreams, Pickles! :cloud9:

I just got home from the hospital. Both tests were negative on his heart (no blood clot, no tumor) and his catscan was negative for a stroke. He has been moved out of ICU and is now in the Cardiac Step Down Unit. When I got to the hospital, he was sitting up on the edge of the bed eating dinner (soup, yogurt and something else). They hope to have him up walking a few fee tomorrow morning, then more in the afternoon and again at night. They hope if they can get his strength up to have him home by Tuesday or Wednesday of next week. I am convinced that all of your prayers played a big part. Thank you.

Thanks, Trac. I'm going to have some soup and go to bed myself -- it's been an emotionally draining week and I'm exhausted.

Oh, Kathy ~ I am relieved for you too. I know this has to be taking a huge toll emotionally and physically on everyone. Hope you were able to sleep well last night. We are always here from you and our prayer will not stop.

Thank you so much for taking the time to keep us posted, sweetie.:grouphug:

It is mini TGIF!

I made it to Thursday!!! Three more sleeps and everyone will be home (although I do enjoy the peace ;)).

Last night the front porch light went out as well as one of the backyard flood lights - I keep all the outside lights on since we are rather isolated on this corner lot. Well, with those lights out, it was time to take one of the flying tranquilizers of Mia's; Only took a half this time and it knocked me out cold - missed all the Olympics women's skating. :(

Hope you all have a good day up there is the cold - it's cold for here as well. The local news has been stopping folks on the street asking how they feel about the weather and these Southerners have had enough cold. Everyone says the same thing: It is supposed to be Spring here, with temps in the mid to high 50's and by mid March high 60's and most of the trees in bloom. Don't see how that's gonna happen - most all next week is 40's with a day of possible snow.

Think SPRING!! :flower3:

Schools are closed here. Icy roads this morning and high winds. We are under a heavy snowfall, sleet and rain warning. No kids to pick up today. I'm about to start my crab rangoons and bake my chicken for chicken a la king. Still no clue what to make MIL for supper tomorrow. Ack!

Naw. I'm low on milk but not a necessity and I forgot the sweet and sour sauce last night so going to make some from scratch instead. :thumbsup2

I think I might make caesar salad dressing and serve that with supper tonight. Can you tell I am bored out of my tree and it's only 9:30am!! I'm going to have enough food cooked to feed an army and there's only the three of us! :rotfl:

Okay...obviously my dear friend did not read my post...or more likely, she is as out to lunch, breakfast and dinner as I am...

Message to Christine and Tracy:

It's FRIDAY not THURSDAY!!!! :rotfl2:

I did read your post but wanted to surprise you later on. :thumbsup2

Christine - here are the crab rangoons. I baked them for almost 20 minutes and added some onion power, pepper and salt. (not in the recipe)

Oooh....those look yummy (and I noticed the Partylite candle right next to your Crabrangoons).

Good morning to all my Pickles. I am so glad it is Friday. It has been a long week and I can't wait to be home and just do laundry and clean and give the dog a bath. Wait, maybe I should just come to work? Andy wants me to go with him tomorrow to Hot Yoga--he said it will be a perfect way for me to unwind. Okay, why don't I think sitting on a floor for 90 minutes doing yoga positions in 105 degrees is going to be fun? And who the he** is going to pick my sorry a** off the floor, I ask you?

Oh they are good. I just dipped them in my s/s sauce that I made. OMG! Drool. I think I'll use the rest of the s/s sauce to make meatballs, fried rice and stir fry. I dunno. Yes, that is a PartyLite aroma simmer pot. I burn it every day. Today was stawberry. My kitchen smells so yummy. I'm burning cranbery chutney in the living room.

Your weekend sounds like mine, minus the dog bath, although he should have one because his skin is so flaky. I think you should do the yoga. I love yoga. It's so relaxing and peaceful. Plus, some quality time with the boy. :)
