I think I am going to throw up. Seriously. My husband just let it slip that he may be facing a layoff. Just when I thought life couldn't get any worse for us.

This is where one would say, "well, at least you still have your health", but sadly, I can't even say that.

Unbelievable.

Trac~I'll be hoping and praying that this will not be true. I have to echo what Christine said about if it does happen then there will be something much better waiting for you both to grab it. It happened to us, and I think the decisions we made after that have bettered our lives.

Please know that I will be thinking of you, and wish there was a way to give this to you in person. Reach out to us anytime and we will to you.

Funny, this is what I was thinking too, just didn't say it!!! I thought she might like to go somewhere more relaxing than Phila though ....

Well, I was thinking more along the lines of a nice B&B in Lancaster, or some Chocolate Spa treatments in Hershey, but Yeah, I'd pretty much rather go anywhere other than Philly

I was just aggravated that I couldn't get Yak & Yeti earlier than 1:30; so I cancelled it and made an ADR for the morning we are back in Orlando before our 3:00 p.m. flight. We're going to drive to the Polynesian from International Drive and have breakfast at Kona Cafe. I also have a surprise for Mark...I made a reservation for dinner on the Monday night we drive back to Orlando from Marco Island. We are going to go to Downtown Disney that night rather than going during our time at the parks. I made a ressie for us at Fulton's for dinner. He doesn't know...but I won another $250 on a lotto ticket which I put away for this special dinner for him since he worked all summer umpping baseball games so we could take a vacation.

Ok...You have such good luck with Dining reservations that I think you need to start a business making ADR's for people. You could cahrge $5 for each one, $10 for the typically "hard to get" ones. Do you want your first customer??? I want Chef Mickey's for Dinner, any night of my trip! (I keep hoping they will decide to open it for lunch, like they did during August & Sept. free dining.)

Mine are just the opposite. I would ask Paul, how was school, he would just say "good", nothing more, even when I asked him direct questions, I would get one word answers!

Now Samantha, well, I get descriptions of everything! Who she sat with at lunch, what they talked about. Who was doing something funny, who got in trouble (usually the boys), what games they played at recess. A Weird thing, today Samantha said one of her BFFs was a little mean to her today (more than once). It's unlike Samantha to say something like this, so I hope it was just "hormones" or maybe this girl not having a good day (or Samantha being over sensitive?). Oh well, me being the protective Momma Hopefully, its nothing.

I hope things get better today! Hopefully they were both just a little nervous!

Heather ~ are you having WL dreams yet? What dates will you be there?

YES!!! I can't wait to walk into that beautiful lobby and have a CM say "Welcome Home"
We will be there Dec. 5-8.

BTW, our school district did not strike~ the school board & teachers union are going to enter into nonbinding arbitration so school will continue - yeah!

I saw that on the news...that is very GOOD news!

So far, so good. Martina has been upset that she doesn't have any homework yet. Chris just looked at her and says "Remember this in a couple of years!"

We are getting a new grading scale this year...we'll see how that goes...poor Chris does not handle change well....He just got used to going from a chack system in K-2 to letter grades in 3rd. Now they are switching to a number system for all elementary kids....just in time for him to get used to that and switch back to Letter grades again in Middle School, starting with 6th grade. I guess no one has ever heard of consistency there.

Yes, I am over the moon. Can't wait to go. And guess what?!?! Bet you can't guess!

Janet did not realize that Mark and I are driving back to Orlando after Marco Island and spending the night at a LaQuinta but going to Downtown Disney. She's going to meet us at the bar for a drink before her 8:15 dinner with her sister and friend. So I'm going to meet one of "our" pickles.

I think it is really cool! First, I met Amy&Dan last month; I'm meeting Janet and we're also having lunch with Nicki (of MickeyNicki--our food guru) in Naples.

I'm sorry you didn't see Mickey. He's hard to find...that's why we always go to his Tent and see him there. Don't run away--we would ALL miss you. It will get better...I promise.

Yep, Mickey makes everything better! That probably explains why 90% of my casual clothes are Disney...somehow I just feel better with a touch of the Mouse.

How far of a drive is it over the border? Can you drive down and fly out from the US? I'm amazed at how low airfares are right now. 2 years ago, we paid$250 roundtrip for our flights. This year, I got $79 each way. I saw one as low as $66, but lousy times. There are deals on Airtran for as low as $39. (none out of any airports near me, but still, that's CHEAP!) I'm thrilled with what we got, because with gas prices as high as they are, I was expecting fares to be int eh $300 range.

Wow, that's great, Trac! One of the reasons I've not even tried to plan a trip to see Mickey is because the SW flights are so much higher this yr - usually we can get flights for $125 - $150, but this yr it's $181 at the least and that's only if traveling certain days, dates etc. I came very close to going a few days in December, but missed the discounted rooms and the flights were too expensive. SW has the only non-stop from an airport an hour from here - being used to having a major airport 10 mins away, 20 in traffic, I feel trapped. Cannot begin to imagine 4 1/2 hours! And I don't drive...and no buses, no other way to get to the airport. YIPES!!

Anyway...I was seriously considering maybe 3/4 ngts in December, a hotel with a balcony, some R&R and a time when some others I know will be there so could met some on line friends....must not be meant to be b/c nothing came together. Oh,well.

Heather, Lancaster is nice - used to go there often to visit cloistered nuns I know on Lititz Pike, but it is a 7 hour drive from here - too much with a one yr old and 2 elderly pups.

Oh, well...things could be worse, I'm sure!

Well!! 12/10 - 14 or other dates as long as it is a Thursday to a Monday as that makes it over a weekend so Mia has Sophia at least 2 days (Michael is horrible for more than 2 hours..does not change diapers and even tho she is a yr old he never gets her I'm hungry or tired signal -it is the only time she fusses!!) I also know a TA who has blocked space and discounted rooms over those days which include an IllumiNations dessert party for free - the TA's pay for it for their clients by giving up their commissions those dates. Resorts: would rather not stay at an All Star, but would do POP (and not likely rule out anything if it cheap)...or with the discounts sharing a moderate would be affordable too.
