OMG..... LOL!!!!!!!!!!!! I am crying!!! You have NO IDEA how much I needed to laugh today.

Priceless.

If you read them all, then you might still be laughing!

So now what will we do for an encore pickles??

(Aw, Janet...not to worry, I know youse live near to one another..but I can still be a tad jealous...but happy for you, of course! )

I have no idea, but I need one....I just put my baby on the school bus for Kindergarten. She is handling it much better than her Momma.

 I remember that first day of kindergarten. And I'm sorry to say it doesn't get better...that first day of college for the baby is even worse!

Poor Momma... big hugs! I'd cheer ya up but I can't even cheer myself up these days. And, any hilarious jokes I have are NOT appropriate for this board. :rolleyes1

So ... this is all I've got :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:

It is such a hard day for moms.

Just think of all the fun she will have today!

Two weeks before Toby was to begin first grade (my kids attended Catholic School for 12 yrs, but public kindergarten).... he was diagnosed with JRA.

On his first day of 1st grade we walked up to Sr Irene, who was waiting for him outside (she loved Mia the yr before, so was sweet to come out to greet Toby)....she takes his little hand ...I turn to go so he will not see my tears...but I glance back to them them walking toward the steps...he is limping from his right leg and Sr Irene is limping from her left leg!! Wish I could have gotten a pix of that...sooo bittersweet! I could only smile then...he was in good hands.

Christine, to you.

:bday: to SOPHIA !!!!

Hey, youse..my memory of Toby is not sad at all!! I LOVE that memory of his first day of 1st grade!!

Thank you for the birthday wishes for Sophi!!! We just finished cake, going out for a walk, then out to supper. She was funny with the cake (the bakery makes a 4 in one for 1st birthdays for free so she had her own). We will do the strawberry cake later1 Yum!!

:grouphug: I have quite a few friends with "little ones" starting college this year. As hard ad Kindergarten was for me...I am dreading that day.

Thought I was over wanting/needing a trip to the World...then I stupidly subscribed to two threads:

OMG ~ I need a trip to see Mickey - at least s short one!! How will I wait a year? Sigh...but I will because I just do not get the solo trips to WDW...sounds depressing, not fun.

I'll survive....but it doesn't mean I must enjoy waiting until my next visit who knows when. :sad1:

Hang in there Christine!!!:grouphug: waiting is the hardest part! You WILL get back, though!
I do know how you feel...even if it's just a short trip every couple of years, It's SOMETHING.

I made my ADR's this morning, Pickles. The system gave me a hard time...wouldn't recognize my reservation #, so I had to call, which means I got up at 6am for nothing. Actually, I barely slept, and then found out that people were able to get everything they want as early as 3:45:headache: I called at 7 and got Late Lunch/early dinner @ Garden Grill on the 5th, late Bfast @ Chef Mickey's on the 6th & Dinner @ 50's Prime Time on the 7th. Le Cellier was a no-go, as expected. I'm still hoping a slot there will open, although I know the kids will wind up liking Garden Grill better anyway.:laundy:(Martina wanted me to post that one!) Also, if I can find a dinner or earlier breakie at CM, I'll grab it, but that was THE ONE everyone else wanted, so I'm happy to have it at all! I definately need Tracy's ADR mojo, though!

I hope my Pickles are all having a great weekend!

Heather~sorry you had issues with the Disney system .... but how come people could make ressies at 3:45 AM??? Glad you got CM for the kids. You are right, they will like Garden Grill. On our first trip to Disney in 2006, we ate there ~ and thought it was great, very low key, and great interaction with the characters. We loved the food, especially the fried catfish:)

We were away on the weekend, I guess everyone one else was busy too.

Samantha came down with the stomach virus ... so on this first day of school ... Samantha couldn't go:sad1: Howard is home because his car didn't start, and he needed to go get a new battery, so I stayed with Samantha until he was able to go out and buy a new one. Just another fabulous day!

Hope all the pickles are having a great day:goodvibes

I'm sorry Samantha missed her first day of school!!!
I hope she's feeling better soon.

I'm not sure why people were able to get in so early...It's Disney...the system is always messed up. It seems like a lot of people are having a hard time getting their ressie # to work, too. I've read quite a few posts where people accidentally wound up double booked too...very frustrating!

Have a great Wednesday, Pickles!!!

How about this date? Maybe something special will happen for all of us??? :goodvibes

Aw, poor Samantha. So sad for her to miss the first day of school, I hope she is feeling much better today. Did you all go somewhere fun for the long weekend??? Hope so!!!

Heather, so glad you were able to get most of your ADR's - fingers crossed you can get any times changed in the next few days - Kathy & Trac had fabulous luck (think Janet did as well), so being a Pickle it should come through for you too!! :thumbsup2

Why in the world would anyone be up at 3:45 A.M. to make ADR's? :confused3 Is this what the dining plan has caused? I'll do CS thanks and leave the openings for those who really enjoy a TS. :teeth:

Happy hump day - short week this one! :yay:

(Trying to think of a little trip over my birthday - just a ngt or two with Mia, Sophia and pups -any suggestions? We've thought of DC, the NC Mountains, Beach - not like nE beaches though - or Fl beaches - anyhoo, none of these appeal to me...so what to do??? Yes, I did consider 3 ngts at WDW solo -:sad1:- but my birthday is November 22 so rates are high then...air fare even higher...so that won't work either. Maybe I have a mind freeze?? lol )
