Kathy...I'l believe that you won't search anymore when I see it...You're a Pickle...you have to have something that can be changed!

:lmao::lmao::lmao:

I'm a nervous wreck, pickles...Chris starts his trip home tonight and gets here tomorrow morning!:cool1: They haven't even left yet, but I'm a worried Mama!:grouphug:

:hug: Chris is going to be fine....and we will be thinking of him during his flight (and you too!). Hope he had a great time.

I'm leaving work a little bit early...have to go home and make sure all of DH's laundry is done--he's leaving for Vegas for eight days tomorrow.

I hope Mark has a safe trip. Is this a work trip, or fun?
Enjoy your 8 days of peace, too!:grouphug:

When does Chris get home this morning?

:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

It's awfully quiet around here. Good thing I don't have any "pickles" that I need help on deciding on.

Have a great "first evening" home with Chris.

Just popping in to say hello. Weather has been getting stormy around 2-3pm all week. We just got back from Epcot in a downpour. We are having a blast and enjoying every single minute. We want to rent a car for a couple of days and lowest price I can find is $400 and change. :scared1: Not impressed with that at all. We're presently trying to figure out what to do tonight. Expecting thunder storms so don't know if we want to hit the parks again. I don't do parks in the rain.

Time is flying by so fast and I don't like it!! :sad2: I think I'm going to see if I can find a job somewhere so I don't have to go back. I'm sure my parents will ship the kid and animals for us.

Hope you are all doing well. :grouphug:

Sorry you are getting rain...that's no fun. But so glad you are having a great time. What days do you want car? And what company is it on the property--National? Alamo? I could look up prices and see what they say.

Anxious for more pictures. We miss you around here.

Maybe call and see if there is a restaurant in Downtown Disney that you can get into tonight???

I can't wait to hear ALL about it when you get home!:grouphug:

Aw, I miss you guys too! If you want to search for a rental, fill your boots lady! I'm pretty ticked off with it right now. We'd like to have it tomorrow of Friday and drop it off at the airport Sunday morning around 5:30 am (to avoid taking ME at 4am) Alamo is Disney but National is a subsidiary. I am so fed up with looking up prices - you have NO idea. Some company just quoted me over $600 with taxes and fees and crap. WTH?!?! I'm pretty disgusted right now. Don't dare leave the room and get caught in a downpour. No clue what to do for supper. Canceled Le Cellier ressie. Hubby not interested in the menu. WHAT!?!?! Sigh.

My pictures are taking FOREVER to load. Five minutes for one picture. We've taken over 400 pictures. heh We do have a few photopass pics done but none with characters. The only characters we have seen are Stitch, Goofy, Pluto and Minnie. I was so looking forward to the Living With the Land ride but it's down for refurb. :sad1: I've never been on it. Soarin had an 85 minute wait and all the fastpasses were gone. Not a good Epcot day. :sad2: Maybe we'll try tonight or again tomorrow. I have a five day hopper pass from 1996 and I thought there was only one day left on it. There were actually three days. OMG, SCORE!!! :woohoo:

The sky looks awfully ugly right now. :(

That is ridiculous for a car. I'm going to get the train now and go for my pedicure...I'll look up some prices when I get home and send you a message on Facebook. I can't believe Living with the Land is down for refurb--it just reopened last year or so after a major refurb??? Oh, you do have to try and get back for Soarin'--such an awesome ride.
Good for you on the hopper pass. Okay...I'll write later with car prices.
Love you.

Yeah, we talked about hitting DTD tonight. I still need to get part of the SpongeBob lego set for Cassie. I'm trying to get pics loaded right now. I started twenty minutes ago and I'm on picture 16 of 116. I have no idea what the problem is but my patience is wearing thin. :headache:

Oh, we ressie hopped yesterday on the monorail. That was fun. I had my first dolewhip. YUM! I love pineapple and so does hubby. It was delish. The one restaurant I couldn't wait to eat at was a total flop. :sad1: Sci Fi. I asked for my burger to be well done and it was half raw. :crazy2: I was thisclose to throwing up at the table. They offered to get me something else but Mark was almost finished his entre and I lost my appetite. Very disappointed. Dinner at 50's Primetime more than made up for it though. OMG, I've never had pot roast that tasted so freaking good. I was so full, I thought they were going to need a crane to get me out of there. :rotfl2: Amazing meal.

I'm getting hungry!

Ooooh, a pedicure. Enjoy! :cloud9: Thanks for looking. Much appreciated. This laptop almost made it to your hammock a few minutes ago... :rotfl2:

Yes, we are going to try Soarin. I can't wait!

Love you too! xox

Oh...that is disappointing about Sci Fi. We have a ressie there for 3:30 on our arrival day. DH really wants the reuben sandwich and I really want the onion rings. I'll have to rethink this maybe.

The onion rings were good! Also had the artichoke and spinach dip. It didn't turn my crank. There was no taste to it. Hubby said his ribs were okay - nothing spectacular. Problem is, you can't see your food because it's so dark. I knew as soon as I started chewing the burger that it was raw. Oh gross, I just gagged writing that. I put the burger up to the little light in the car and it was raw. I couldn't believe it.

Just don't get the burger!

Well, I have bad news...every car rental with a discount I looked at came to over $400 just like you said, Tracy. I would seriously consider getting a taxi--it will be cheaper and you can leave when you want. You could probably get a taxi to go to the outlet mall too if you wanted and when you got dropped off ask for their phone number to call to have one come back and get you. I'm sorry...I can't believe how high they are. I got a car for 11 days and it is costing us $323 (but I still have time to play and get it down).

I'm glad you liked the Dolewhip. I love those too, but they seem to be a love or hate thing. Sorry about sci-fi....we didn't enjoy it either, but that was most likely because Martina was 2 when we tried it, and she picked that time to decide she was afraid of the dark. It was funny after the fact...Brian and I took turns weating...as soon as one of us would walk out the door with her, she was fine, as soon as you walked back in, she started crying again. We loved Prime Time too...the fried chicken is to die for! That's on the list of possible ADR's for our trip.

That stinks. She could have rented a car for the whole time for less. I wonder if it's so high because they are renting from one location and returning to another?

So Chris is happy to be home, but wants to stay for a MONTH next time:eek:
Brian is dropping my Dad off at the airport on his way to work.

Tracy...I'd love to see a post from Kathy's hammock!!!!

Have a great day, Pickles!

We looked earlier in the week for longer rentals, but the prices were still absolutely ridiculous. I also checked rates the day we got here. It's supply and demand, baby. Everyone was sold out earlier in the week that's why we decided on renting just a few days. Yeah, that worked out well...NOT! Thank you for looking, Kathy. :)

Heather, I'm trying to get a picture of the hammock, but everytime we have time, it's wet from rain. I need to time it right. lol It took five hours to load 116 pictures to photobucket last night! I'll be waiting until I get home to do that. Here are a few to tide you over! hehehe

What we see every morning at 7:30 going to get our coffee.

Self explanatory.

You`ll never guess where this was taken!

So, I got picked to be a singing star for the day... :rolleyes1 These guys were hilarious and amazing. Loved them! :thumbsup2

That's it for pics for now. The rest are just park pics and animals and stuff. Still no sign of Glen. :( We are headed to MK and Epcot again today. Pray for a sunny day!

Have a wonderful day pickles. I miss

I see our shy Tracy is coming out of her shell!!!!:grouphug:
It's amazing how Disney can do that!

Have a great day today!
We have rain here today, so hopefully you won't!!!
Martina is off to the zoo in the rain. She's happy cause she has her rain jacket.

I miss you too, Tracy!:grouphug::grouphug::grouphug:

Just checking in... what a crazy week this has been! I am exhausted from constantly being on the go, but nothing seems to be getting accomplished. *sigh* Tomorrow I have to go to Wally world and get some camping supplies for Wynn and Tucker. They are going on a 2-day canoe trip with Boy Scouts. Avery and I will go get her a new scooter, then out to dinner, and home for a Redbox movie and a mani/pedi.

I am so fed up with looking up prices - you have NO idea. Some company just quoted me over $600 with taxes and fees and crap. WTH?!?!

Just take taxis when you *gasp* leave Disney property. You can't possibly need that many trips that would make a car rental break even at that price.

Sorry your meal was so bad at SciFi. Did they comp the burger for you since it wasn't edible? We have never eaten there, but I would like to try the chili at some point. Just not in June/July when we are usually in WDW!! :crazy2:

Sorry that you have had to deal with the afternoon rain storms. We usually try to do a long ride during that time period. Great Movie Ride in HS, and Soarin or Ellen's Energy Adventure in Epcot. For the next rainy night, you could try to get into HDDR for the dinner show.

Can you believe it? And she WAS ABSOLUTELY NOT HAVING HER PICTURE TAKEN! And she looks great and so relaxed.

I'm tired just reading what you've been doing this week...exhausting!

A mani/pedi with Avery sounds great! I got my pedi last night...I feel so much better.

Anyone hear from Janet or Christine lately? Haven't heard a peep from them in a couple of days.

I started a pre-trip report. Here's a link if you are interested:
