I hope all the "pickles" are having a nice day. I'm watching the Cubs blow away the Washington Nationals in the 9th inning by a score of 11-3. We go to Philly next and that will be a tough series. I'm home alone...DH is umpping baseball; oldest DS is coaching baseball and youngest DS did not come home this weekend as he is working a wrestling camp in Dubuque. I got the whole house cleaned so that tomorrow, if it does in fact reach 80 degrees and is sunny as they are saying, I can lay on the patio and try to get a little color.

Okay, here you go.

When you enter a park -- whicever one -- there will be photographers taking pictures. We used to avoid them...but now we always make sure they take our picture. First, this is a good way to get pictures of you and your darling DH together; and second, they give you a little "credit sized card". Everytime you have one of these photographers take your photo, give them the card. The pictures will ALL be on this card which you can take home with you and look at the computers online. That way, if none of your "own" pictures turn out, perhaps some of these will and you can order them. We've used ours to order Christmas cards the last couple of years. Also, most times, the photographer will also take a picture of the two of you together with your own camera if you ask.

Kathy, I finally had a minute to post on the new CSR thread. Had hoped to be among the first, but haven't been on line but for a couple of minutes until this afternoon.

You have done an outstanding job, my friend!!! I swear, I'm not saying that b/c I'm biased, you truly did a fabulous job with the thread...and the photos are perfection! Congratulations on a job well done and one that will continue just as outstanding!

I always avoid photo-pass but that's because I hate photos of myself...a few years ago my friend and I got a couple done and I admit both were pretty good! Kathy, I thought photo pass can be expensive or can a guest choose a few photos and pay for those?

I am stressing, but that's nothing unusual. Spent the entire weekend house cleaning and I am sore and I am exhausted. I can hardly keep my eyes open. I am crawling in bed in about an hour. We won't have water again tomorrow so I am getting prepared for that too.

They are replacing the water lines in the main road to our subdivision. They've been working on it for three months now. My vehicles have never been so filthy or my windows. I hope this will be the last day, but who knows.

Yeah, we're going quick service and paying out of pocket for table meals. Cheapest this way. I also knocked off some ressies. I really don't need macadamia pancakes for four days. I want, but don't need.

Just got a phone call from my dad. Mom had a pace maker put in last fall and this afternoon she was light headed and her heart was racing. They couldn't get it settled down at her town hospital so they sent her to our city hospital by ambulance. He doesn't know if they are going to replace it or what. She is in CICU.

Our trip may go bust yet.

If you find that some of your meals are "too" filling, you should go to Plaza and pay out of pocket--it really is very good.
