Picking up Tickets

Hopefully I am not the only one with this problem....

My dad purchased tickets for myself, my husband and my girls for our trip in October through ARES. It didn't state anything on any of the pages leading up to paying about HIM needing to be present in order to pick up the tickets, or we wouldn't have done it. I am having a panic attack over reading the confirmation email I just got.

Our names are the only ones on the itinerary, minus his as the billing address.

Are they going to turn me away from getting the tickets since I am not my dad and will not have his card? Obviously my husband and I have ID, even my kids...that will match my print out. With the confirmation # and everything...

It looks like it won't be an issue for universal.

I'm willing to bet they will accept the completely reasonable answer that "My dad bought these for us for a gift" if they happen to notice the different addresses.

That is what I am figuring. It just states that purchaser must be present with their ID and Credit Card...Didnt know how strict they are with that.
I will print the whole email and everything that shows our names and explain. Just wondering if anyone else has had this happen and if it was a hassle.

I'd also take a copy of your Dad's ID. If he's willing to let you take a copy of the CC he used so much the better, but I admit that I'd be leery of that myself.

Have you called ARES and talked to them? This must have come up for them before. Maybe they can give you some guidance. Good luck!

I would call them. If they say it might be an issue, you can try taking a copy of his ID and the CC on the same page as a handwritten note authorizing you to pick up the tickets.

I sent them an email, I will call this week if nothing gets resolved via email.

I looked at the page again to make sure I just didn't miss it. I mean, I have a paper that states the names of the 4 people going, it asked that when I purchased the tickets. But that doesn't print out on the paper that you are supposed to bring to the ticket booth. I have pictures of the card (long story...) but not of his ID. Hopefully I will see him before we leave and I can just have him write a quick note.

Last time we went I just had the tickets that had the code on them and we went right to the maingate. Saved a bit of money doing it through ARES though.
