Have any of you picked up tickets at will-call? We are going to The World next week, :yay: and my son is taking his friend. The friend has a ticket waiting for him at Will-call. From what I understand, I can pick this up at any of the parks or DTD. Is it a pretty quick and simple process, or is it just as long as waiting in line to purchase a ticket? I'm just wondering the best (quickest) way to go about this. Any advice is appreciated.

In case it matters, we are staying offsite, arriving Tuesday evening and plan to do the parks Wednesday and Thursday.

TIA for your help. :earsboy:

Yes.
Very fast.

You may pick these up at any TICKET WINDOW as well as Guest Relations or Will Call window.

If you arrive EARLY in the morning, there will be fewer guests at the windows.

I use will-call all the time. One less thing for me to have to remember (tickets!) It's always been very fast and very convenient.

I know this doesn't apply in your case, but we usually stay for a long time (coming from a long ways away) and picking up our tickets at the Will-Call in Downtown Disney has become a tradition, along with a good excuse to get some ice cream at Ghirardelli! :thumbsup2

Have a great trip. :goodvibes

I have a will call ticket waiting for me but with a set date on. If my flight is delayed etc. asnd I pick it up a day later, is that a problem?

Nope. (Not unless the event to which you are going is already over.)

The CM at the Guest Relations/Wiil-Call/Ticket Booth simply accesses your info on the computer and then just PRINTS the ticket (or other document) for you on-the-spot.

:welcome: to the DISboards, Ozzie!

cool, thanks robo!

Can you also activate tickets at DTD? I will be buying my tickets from AAA. Where exactly is the ticket area at DTD?

Anything related to Park tickets can be done at any of the following locations:

Any Park (including Water Parks) ticket booth. This includes the TTC.

Any Guest Relations Office (GRO) outside the parks. This includes the Water Parks, TTC and DTD.

Any GRO inside the Parks.

Guest Services/Concierge in the Resorts; however they cannot do anything related to Annual Passes.

This includes "will-call", upgrading any tickets, replacing any tickets, converting an AP voucher to an AP, or selling an AP.

Anything that can be done related to tickets at a GRO can also be done at a regular ticket window. The ticket windows cannot do things such as make reservations, unscramble problems related to room keys, or handle Lost and Found or Guest Recovery.

I'm bumping this up.

I also had the question of where exactly is the GRO in Downtown Disney, is it easy to find. I heard it's by the World of Disney store but I have not seen it clearly identified in a map yet.

Also, is it possible to upgrade tickets at the GRO in Downtown Disney when you pick up your will call tickets?

thanks

You may perform ANY ticket operation at the DTD GRO's.

Cheshirefigment beat me to it.

I know the OP is staying offsite, but wanted to add this to anyone doing willcall and staying onsite:

We do willcall all of the time, whether it's for park tickets, MNSSHP tickets, HDDR tickets, MVMCP tickets and you CAN pick up your will call tickets right at your RESORT. It's very easy and you don't have to do it at the parks. Now I know it says you have to get them at the park, but I found out when checking in one year and told the CM I had to go pick up my park tickets with my willcall certificate and was informed that I could do it right there.

AS noted, you DO have to pick up your willcall AP (new or renewal) at guest relations (inside or outside of the parks or DTD).

Can you buy a Tables in Wonderland card at the GRO at DTD? If I could pick up my daughter's AP there and the TiW card at the same time, that would be great.

Yes.

While you can pick up your will-call ticket and "upgrade" it immediately, there are circumstances where it is better to use the ticket a little before upgrading.

"Upgrading" an unused ticket is considered a trade-in where its value is roughly what you paid for it.

A used ticket is valued at current gate price for that kind of ticket when upgraded.
