Picking up DVC tix for F&W events?

As a birthday gift for my mom, we'd like to use our DVC discount to purchase tickets for some F&W events - but not necessarily join her at said events. When reading the fine print about the tickets is says:

"Present valid Member ID card and event confirmation number at Will Call Box for admission."

Can anyone here shed light on this one? Does this mean she would need to be a DVC member to attend the event on the DVC discounted tickets? Or does it simply mean that we would need to be present to pick up the tickets - and we could essentially give them to anyone we wanted?

Along these lines, I guess I should back up. Am I to assume that they do not send us the tickets - we must pick them up at the park? Any park? Or does it have to be Epcot? Can we pick them up at any time? Or does it have to be on the day of the event? (Can you tell we are F&W virgins? )

I haven't been, but booked a demo using TiW card, and was told, that I show up, give my name, show my card and that's it. I do have the reservation number as well.

Well, unfortunately if you are getting the discounted tickets you will have to show id. Now for regular paid seminars or events, when you call say this is a gift for my mom or whomever and they should be able to put their name down instead of yours. Just remember there are no refunds once purchased! One year I purchased two tickets to some events, mind you they were 3-5 dollars. My hubby could not make some seminars, so I just told the cm to give my extra ticket to someone. So if you went down and got the tickets for your mom, they will not ask again for id because she has the tickets.
