Picking Up AP Questions

When you pick up an AP, does each person need to be present and show an ID? DH & I are staying at the HRH in October and getting APs. Taking the kids back in December and getting them APs. I want to buy them in September to take advantage of the 3 month extension offer. I need to know if I need to make 2 separate purchases or if I can buy them all at once and pick up all 5 in October. Also, can I pick them up at the ticket desk at HRH or do I need to go to a ticket booth at a park entrance?

I picked up AP’s for my immediate family at Royal Pacific lobby desk. I was told that was possible because I paid in full. My husband never even brought the kids down till I had them all. I was the one who purchased them though. I am not sure when the clock starts. I think it is the first time you scan them to get into the park, but not positive.
