Picking up AP at will call

I purchased APs for my DH and two sons through our DVC account (before the price increase/changes, but that is beside the point) and we are supposed to get them from will call. I did it through my MyDisneyExperience account (linked to our DVC memberships) because my DH doesn't have his own account and neither do my kids and when I printed out the will call confirmation, it says that the person named on this confirmation must pick up the tickets.

Well, I am not going to be with him on the first trip he is going on where he needs the AP. (He is running the Wine and Dine and the kids and I aren't going with him.) He is a DVC member so the DVC AP for him is legit and we share the same address, so it's all on the up and up, it's just that I am named on the will call sheet since we used my login to buy them. Is he going to be able to pick up his AP when he goes for Wine and Dine? And what happens with the two kids's APs since they won't be with him at that time (the two kids and I will be there the next week and meet DH there)? The confirmation correctly lists him as the one getting the AP, not me, it's just that it is connected to my DVC login. He will have the credit card used to purchase the AP, his photo ID and DVC member card. Is this going to turn in to a major ordeal since I am not there?

ARGH! I would have had him call MS to purchase them if I had known that it would print out my name and say that I had to be there. That information wasn't anywhere until I actually printed the will call confirmation.

Any information on this would be great--I'm not even sure who at Disney I would call to ask--ticketing? MS? And would the information I get from them be reliable anyway? I hate to keep calling to ask different cast members hoping that I get the same answer from several and therefore feel like that is probably the actual right answer.

TIA!

Since there isn't anything that could be done if that did end up being correct I'd just forewarn you DH and have him try to pick it up. My suspicion is that the authorized name is really more for tickets since an AP generally has to be picked up by the person who is named as going to use it. Since he'll have the form of payment used and it's listed in his name the credit card, his ID and his DVC card will probably make it happen.

Would be interested to hear more, our new APs are linked to our MDE and I did not even think about needing to pick them up? Do I need them? Thanks

Unless there been a recent change you do have to stop at a GS or ticket booth to activate. They should also give you a pass so that you have something to show for your Passholder discounts.

I would definitely call Ticketing and confirm this, they would know best and I can't imagine this is a unique scenario for them. Good luck!
