My 13 year old granddaughter and her friend will be coming to stay with us for a few days while we are at Old Key West in January. Where do you park at MCO when picking someone up? We would need to go inside to meet her as this is her first time flying alone. We aren't familiar with the airport so this is new to us. Thanks for any information.

As you'll see in the link posted by @ibob52 there are parking garages at the airport. All you need to do is pay attention to the signs to know if you are going to the A or B side to get to the baggage claim area (which is where you should plan on meeting) for her airline.

What airline is she flying? I would meet her outside of security for her area.

She is flying Southwest. That is what I was planning to do, since I assume that is as close to the gates as I can go. Thanks.

They would exit on the end by the Hyatt, left side as you face security. Near the Starbucks.

First - make sure that your granddaughter realizes they have to take the little shuttle from the gate area to the main terminal - THEN they will exit the security area. If they follow the signs to terminal A and A baggage claim - they should exit security by the Starbucks. It is possible to exit security on the "B side" of the terminal - so - just make sure they follow the signs towards baggage claim on the A side.

You could tell them to meet you by that Starbucks -- OR -- suggest they meet you by the "Disney Earport" store - which is across from the security entrance lines. Or you could just pick the middle of that central area.

Regardless - if you tell her to walk 10 feet past the security guards marking the exit from the restricted area and then stop to the side and text/call you - all should be fine.

Thanks for all your help. I did tell her about the shuttle, so I'm sure it should all work out.
