The $30 is the one-time cost of buying the program you run on your computer to connect to your phone's internet. They have a one month free trial so you could try it to see how service is for you.

That would be violating your contract, if you want to use the wifi access legally you are required to pay the 20 per month fee. I do however recommend PDANet and it works great! It was only 10 bucks when I purchased it.

Do you mean the 20 per month thru PDANet or Verizon??

BTW..I went to a Verizon store again just to check out the phones again without feeling pressured by anyone. I played with the Fascinate for about 10 mins and the Droid X for about the same time..if not less. I think I've decided to go with the Fascinate!! I just love the way it feels in my hand and how light it is. The Droid X just seemed to industrial for me and too masculine. Fascinate was just right for me and the fact that they're virtually alike in so many ways..has sealed the deal.

I went back to the store later that day with DH and showed him both phones. He really like the Fascinate for me!! Soo..when my upgrade time is here...I will be in the store that same day to get it!!
